Oh go on explain your bitter hatred for a usable and less resource intensive OS...

Personally don't like the metro interface, laptop basically dead as it kept crying for an update from 8 to 8.1, did it, optimus driver broken, no way to fix it as I can't access the screen or any video outputs, and I just don't like the metro interface.

 

A usable, less resourceful OS would be Ubuntu with its worse drivers but still somehow work so I don't have to fear updating it.

About 13 seconds. 10 seconds through the BIOS and then about 3 on the win 8 loading screen.

Mine is about 30 seconds to boot Windows 8, load chrome/steam/logitech gaming manager with a Sandisk Ultra Plus (256GB). Very worth only 140 dollars.

around 40 seconds , with an ssd , but i have a rampage IV , they take their time to load the bios settings...

~30 seconds. Never actually timed it though, so that's just an estimate.

Maybe 10 seconds. The SSD really helped. With just my HDD it was closer to almost 2 minutes.

About 7 seconds to boot but I have to wait for my H100i's pump to stop clicking otherwise it will overheat so about 2 minutes for the PC to be usable

1. Bypass Metro (Boot to Desktop)

2. Class Shell or some similar start button alternative.

 

There you have a faster windows 7.

mine is about 41 seconds to login screen from shutdown state..   its about ready to go 6 seconds after login.  seems very quick.  win 7 64 bit with raid 0 SSD  :)

Idk,30 seconds maybe? The raid 0 array initialization probably doubles the time.
