Why do people hate on CoD, especially PC gamers?

DIV1D3

So really there's only max 5,000 people playing Ghosts when I'm on and I've got a friend whose got it on a 360 and he says that there was about 80,000 people playing. Furthermore I see and hear a lot of people hating on CoD and saying it's just a simple CTRL+C and CTRL+V for the next game. I'd just like to know some legitimate answers to why you think Ghosts or any recent CoD game for that matter is not up to standard, if that's your point of view. To me I think it is a great series and there will be a Ghosts 2 because of the ending of Ghosts. Also don't hate on me for expressing my opinion, it's mine and I'm allowed to have it and share it.

Cheers!

because they release it every year, and they all feel the same.

So pretty much every new COD is an unpolished new game title that's actually polished because they keep copy pasting from previous work.

like they only care about our money.

now What i hate most about them is that they use money indecently, to bribe reviewers all over the internet to give them great score.

But I want to know why? How is BF4 so much better than Ghosts, imo Ghosts has an infinitley better SP, MP is still very good too.

Cause it sucks?

LEGITIMATE REASON, this is what I'm taking about.

no new inovation, everyone is tired of it.

So? BF4 got Levolution? Wow, many change, such different, wow.

Also what bout Extinction? That's new and also Squads.

Cod is the same every year, at least in games like battlefield 4 they add new features like destructible maps

im my opinion cods had its time. look at the main studio thats making it they just enlisted a new company to join the dev group rotation their desperate. as far as pc is look at the average age for pc players im saying 14ish up now look at the age market for cod even though they want 14 yearolds they sell to 6 year olds so yea its unlikely that their will be any pc players playing it

It definitely had more players on release, now I'm not sure. CS:GO is always peaking at 100k+ online, every day.

and it definitely has bigger community, because of the comptetetive scene, so CS:GO beats bf4 in people "caring" about it.

Aside from the obvious copy/paste issues it unfortunately became quite popular in it's early days which leads to fan loyalty and every other game that comes after it(non COD titles) trying to copy it in some way. They obviously fail because of what I call "Warcrack syndrome" but that doesn't stop other devs from trying. The landscape of the games continue to steer more and more towards CoD like clones and game diversity and innovation die a slow painful death. It also doesn't help that the community(if you can even call it that) is populated largely by the stereotypical raging gamers and bad-mouthed children. Aside from all of that the game has gone significantly downhill since Call of Duty 4, a game that I actually enjoyed, because of the relentless yearly release cycle. In addition the fact that Infinity Ward fell apart with most of the talent going off to Respawn means that any game that comes from what is Infinity Ward in name only will be even worse than the previous games. Aside from the lackluster graphical fidelity of Ghosts and it's abysmal PC optimization it has scenes that were blatantly copied from previous games in addition to adding nothing new to the series itself.

All in all while it started out as a promising franchise in the form of Call of Duty 4 it quickly went downhill due to many factors and I doubt it will continue to exist after another game or two.

i think most of the players that play cs are ether compensative or casual but battle field sells largely to the casual audience

And casuals don't form strong communities, people get bored fast. CS:GO will stay popular for years now.  :)  My point in the first post was that bf4 wasn't the only fps pc players cared about, not even close.

Honestly the multiplayer has a really small skill ceiling. It is relatively easy for a person who is playing for the first time to kill the best player in the world, the killstreak system is fundamentally broken, the progression is also horrible in that people with a lot of time on their hands have an advantage over those who don't. A game should reward those who practise to improve and not who grind points. What can I say I am a CS player at heart.

I have nothing against Call of Duty. The franchise has just lost its appeal to me. In my opinion the military FPS is pretty old news and without any innovation CoD will remain unappealing to me.
