we know the graphics and CPU architecture they're using, we can compare based on the hardware.

next gen consoles have Zen cores and Navi graphics. Pretty sure it's Zen 2 and big Navi but I don't recall exactly.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

why not, open same game side by side, pc vs console, visually find out which setting looks most similar, low / mid / high /ultra

well i guess you could do this, but console usually has an optimized setting, were the game can sit at whatever locked fps almost 100% of the time, that includes custom texture settings, lighting settings, etc

you could probably just boot up linux on one run a benchmark and call it a day, although i dont 100% know if you could get linux on one

Tbh this is done all the time, you maybe don't get the "exact" answer but damn close.

For example I know volumetric lighting in MHW IB on ps4 is at a lower setting than the lowest available setting on pc, but it is enabled, and it shows, the game is laggy AF on ps4... (sub 30)

It is done all the time, DF, people with good eyes and understanding of how graphics and effects work, etc etc.

It's just a bit early I doubt there are proper comparisons of graphical settings used yet...

I expect them to be really close generally tbh, unlike previous gens.

No you cannot run Linux on new consoles they aren't cracked yet, expect that to take at least 6 months - 1 year...

(I don't think it would be even a good idea, even if you get Linux, or any OS really, to run it'll be an unoptimized pos lol)
