Jeez £55 on Steam, I marked it as a follow, will grab it when it is on offer...

there's some RTX imitation settings in there that tanks frame rates, but it's beautiful and worth it imo, turn it off and the fps doubles.

Almost any AAA recent game will max a 2080 Ti at max settings 1440 100~ FPS.

Got any suggestions? I have Gears 5 and RDR2.

I tried a triple A title, Need for Speed, it didn't even come close to maxing the 2080 ti at 1440p and max settings, and that was a fast game.

NFS is not really AAA.

Tomb Raider, Shadow of War, Metro, Far Cry, Anno 1800, Monster Hunter.

Tomb raider barely uses the GPU at all....like in the benchmark, doesn't break 20%, in the game? Doesn't seem to break 10% and this is set to highest settings, it is an odd game.

Metro, I need to look at it is on my list as it has Ray Tracing and I do like to check that out.

Shadow of War is a new one on me, I think I played Morder will check out War, but it is a 3 year old game, it pre-dates the 2080 ti, so I would be surprised if it pushed it that hard.

Monster Hunter: World (is that the one?) that looks kinda cool, dunno how hard it will push the GPU, but I do love a good RPG collect crap and get stronger type game so will check that one out, cheers.

any ubisoft aaa games, monster hunter, rdr2 etc. turing is a beta test for rtx and 2080 ti just happened to be the fastest single card for now, but not fast enough.

u can even fire up RE3 in 4k and watch it run out of vram and crash.

I knew someone said Monster Hunter.

I got it in the steam sale....5% GPU usage so far lol looks great, very anime ish not even got to gameplay yet, maybe that will spike the GPU usage.

That is a hard one.

It really depends on the resolution and the monitors refresh rate along with what game.

I know that 1440p at 144mhz is hard to do because my overclocked CPUs run out of steam at about 130fps on most AAA games but I use a LG OLED TV as a monitor and it is 1440p 120hz.

Here is what it looks like in SOTTR set to the highest preset with TAA.  As you can see I am already 86% GPU bound so the bottleneck is creeping in. To get rid of it I have to put raytraced shadows on ultra but that puts the frame rate into the 70s.

RDR 2 is the hardest game to run so far without ray tracing.

I exclude 4k since my TV and monitors are 60hz 4k and only raytracing is hard to do at 60fps with a 2080 ti.

The OLED TV will do 4k 120hz with HDMI 2.1 but that won't be with a 2080 ti.
