That cooler looks really unique and special. This is one great card for mutliple monitor 4K gaming (if the R9 290X can handle multiple 4K monitors and be able to use most of the vram which I don't think will because it's only around 50-60fps for a single 4k::http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013/11/11/geforce_gtx_780_ti_vs_radeon_r9_290x_4k_gaming/) but the price tag will be pretty expensive.

That is a fantastic looking card. It is just a shame that hardly anybody makes blue motherboards any more (seriously Asus, what kind of crack were you smoking when you chose the colour "tacky plastic gold"?).

R9 290 sucks at 4k

780ti already beats it in 4k so idk why sapphire botgee with a weak card at 4k

It's hardly a few fps difference.

It wouldn't be such a big deal if it wasn't for miners jacking up the price.

The colour scheme is off putting to me, I want someone to make either a chrome cooler or an anno purple one with either chrome or red accents

Laptop - Lenovo X230 Intel 535 480GB, 16GB Gskill memory, Classic Keyboard Mod, Triple USB 3.0 Express Card.

I see no point in this, I can't imagine a single 290x can even remotely get close to playable framerates whilst using 8gb of vram.

Although its blue doesn't quite match the one on my MSI board it looks reallly fantastic.

8GB Vram might be overkill because you can't put enough of these cards into a rig to get 60Hz at 4k surround. Atleast not for a game like Crysis 3

144Hz goodness

that's ridiculous, i cant really see where 8 gigs of v ram is necessary but its still a cool card

love that backplate design too

Eyefinity, i wish i had 8GB on my dual 7970 setup, i'm still planning on upgrade, and this one has got my attention

  • 2 weeks later...

Running with 3 monitors, this is very appealing... Currently running out of Vram with a single 780, getting a second very soon... Still interested in the 8gb of ram... Sexy for them higher Resolutions...

6,000 x 1080p for life :P  (Until I can go up to 3 1440p [or 4k] monitors...)

2 of these, and 4k is no longer such a daunting resolution.

That look amazing! Also why do people talk about videocardz as if it was an unreliable site, as if they lied all the time or something... I've followed it for a while and they get it right everytime.
