10/10 would buy.

 

I hate the stupid yellow cooler that overhangs, and I love to see the nice blue with a cooler/backplate that actually fits the card. Cough cough...... Powercolor ...... cough cough..

this fills the niche market where crossfire 290Xs are used for 4K+ gaming. with three 290X's the horsepower is there but the vram is lacking

that's ridiculous, i cant really see where 8 gigs of v ram is necessary but its still a cool card

love that backplate design too

this fills the niche market where crossfire 290Xs are used for 4K+ gaming. with three 290X's the horsepower is there but the vram is lacking

this is awesome finally we are getting to a stage where there not giving us ridiculously little vram or too much for the bus i dont care if 4k doesnt use 8gbs what about when 4k becomes more mainstream and u can mod games for better textures it will come in handy and why is everyone saying we dont need it who cares if we dont its what drives the industry forward i would be happy if i had the best gpu in the world i got 200fps at 4k thats better than having 10fps at 4k!

well, if it has a 512 bit bus, and you can use around 3gb on 256bit, then over 4gb on 384 bit (realistically, no one has made a 4gb 384 bit card yet) then you should be able to squeeze over 5-6gb out of it in really demanding scenarios

Was going to say, I doubt a single 290X has the grunt to really justify 8GB of VRAM. You'd have to be a rich motherfucker to get this setup though O_O

R9 290 sucks at 4k

780ti already beats it in 4k so idk why sapphire botgee with a weak card at 4k
