compatibility of Ryzen 5 5600 with MSI a520m-a pro

I'm helping a friend with building a budget pc for him, and we settled with the MSI a520m-a pro with a Ryzen 5 5600 CPU. I heard that even if it's compatible, it might need a bios update, and we have no other CPU to use for the update. 

 

Is the motherboard compatible with the CPU out of the box? And if not, is there any alternative motherboard's with similar pricing?

 

Please if you Have any suggestions about making the build better, I would highly appreciate the help!
