Intel® Rapid Storage Technology and Intel® Optane™ Memory Applications Will No Longer Be Updated (End-of-Life Notice)

I provided the link below but opened up IRST to check on things but now im worried about the EOL, and only noticed the message today

should i upgrade my 5960x Gaming Rig as i currently have a 3x10tb Barracuda Pro in Raid 5 or will i be fine after the EOL,

are the newer Intel Raid on the 9th or 10th gen boards support Raid 5 wasnt planning on upgrading this rig for at least another year or two, should i get a brand new raid card instead if i dont plan to upgrade for 2+ years

Well the intel raid isn't good anyways, so id just use software raid instead.

Please read it properly....

Intel RST is not EOL.

It is only the IRST & IOM Applications, as they're replaced by "The Intel® Optane™ Memory and Storage Management Hardware Support Application"

well software raid is just much better overall, and is the same speed or faster, as intel raid is really just some fancy software raid(its not hardware raid, there is no hardware raid processor). So id just reformat as software raid and restore backups.
