I found this seemingly sketchy RTX 2080 Ti Gaming Z Trio MSI graphics card for just $150.00 USD on Alibaba.. I want you guys' input on it. I personally haven't. bought a.single item from Alibaba, but am wanting to, but at the same time, not wanting to get scammed of all my money and receive nothing. I do have a couple hundred to toss around, but I just want to know IS THERE ANY CHANCE it may not be a scam or is it definitely a scam and if so, how can you tell

seems like fake. couldnt find anything about the model number. do not buy it

Motherboard tier list. Tier A for overclocking 5950x. Tier B for overclocking 5900x, Tier C for overclocking 5800X. Tier D for overclocking 5600X. Tier F for 4/6 core Cpus at stock. Tier E avoid.

(Also case airflow matter or if you are using Downcraft air cooler)

Gpu tier list. Rtx 3000 and RX 6000 not included since not so many reviews. Tier S for Water cooling. Tier A and B for overcloking. Tier C stock and Tier D avoid.

( You can overclock Tier C just fine, but it can get very loud, that is why it is not recommended for overclocking, same with tier D)

I've never even heard of that website. What's their customer service like when it comes to fake sales, etc? If it's on par with amazon/ebay, and you're down for the almost guarenteed hassle of trying to get your money back, then go for it.

 

But IMHO it's almost certainly a scam, and you're almost certainly going to be disappointment. I'd say it's either a scam, or the card is totally fucked.

 

I've learned that if some deal seems to good to be true, it is.

I thought it would be logical that no seller would sell their genuine stock (no matter how cheap they get their hands on) lower than price they could have gone for in respective market (so at least $700 for a 2080ti even if it costs them only $150), seems like not everyone agrees.

Actually, Alibaba is a somewhat safe website. Many people have heard about it. The most common scams on Alibaba are when cheap-paying people get something different than what they've ordered.

Alibaba is a Chinese website where Chinese maufactures can sell stuff. 

ITs not a 2080. its going to be some other card made it look like a 2080 by modding the card so it shows as one. maybe even putting a 2080 cooler on the shitty card.

but the card will not be a 2080ti. if anything for $150 they are buying used 580s or something worse slapping a 2080 cooler on it, modding it to show up as a 2080 and shiping it to you.

 

TLDR. its not going to be a 2080 but you most likely will get a GPU> there is many many videos on stuff like this. even linus made them.

Guarantee you that the "2080 Ti" they're selling is a GTX 750 that's had a modified vBIOS that identifies itself as an RTX 2080 Ti
