What was the first video game you ever played?

ViruZ_HUN

Asteroids. There wasn't a lot of other options at the time.

Clearly Final Fantasy VII would be most people's assumption (it is my favorite game ever) but the first game I ever played and just loved was Pokemon Red. It's probably the only one which comes even close to rivaling my hours in FFVII.

Jak and Daxter, particularly Jak 2, first games I fell in love with so to say. jak 2 the best gameplay wise. All three were purely open world, no load screens. 2 is amazing. All 3 @ 60 fps and look good for a ps2 game. Naughty dog is great at this stuff.

256px-JakIIbox.jpg

It still amazes me on a game-development level.

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

The first video games I ever played were four games, all for the PS2: Shrek 2, Scooby Doo! Night of 100 Frights, Monsters Inc., and Finding Nemo. I guess the first out of the four there I played was Shrek 2. That was all 8 years ago. As of now, my copy of Monsters Inc. is gone and my copy of Finding Nemo is destroyed, but I still have and play Shrek 2 and Scooby Doo! Night of 100 Frights every now and then. And even still, I still really like those games. I must say that we did have to replace our copy of Scooby Doo! because it ended up getting ruined a while ago.

I have a lot of fond memories of different games on my PS2. Gran Turismo, Colin McCrae Rally, Motor Mayhem, amongst others are things that I loved playing.

I have no signature. There is nothing to see here. Move along.

It's got to be either BOTS!! Mata Nui Online Game or BattleFront II

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

In the early 90's I played Legend of the Red Dragon on a BBS called Visionaire.

Totally awesome game.  If any of you young whippersnappers have never played a fully text-based game, you're missing out.  I also played Trade Wars... a lot.

Probably Star Wars Battlefront Two and then Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 after I found I didn't suck when I used the keyboard instead of some shitty controller lol.

First game that really awe-inspired me was probably Halo 2. At the time, I had all the Nintendo stuff because my parents wouldn't let me play shooters or rated M stuff. Went to my friends house and his brother was playing Halo and I thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen.

The first game that I can remember playing a lot of was pinball from winXP. That and solitaire, although I was terrible at both.

However the first game that I played and LOVED was Super Mario Galaxy.

The first real PC game I ever played was Spore. Recently, Loaded that on my computer recently, and I was shocked to find that it is capped at 30 fps, and gives me headaches so it's hard to play.

The but the game that started my PC gaming for real was Baldur's Gate (with the TotSC expansion), which is funny, as TO THIS DAY, I still have not technically beat it. (my original game is corrupt and causes a error where the last fight cant happen) my dad told me about BG:EE, back when it was in development and I was thrilled.
