[Unofficial LTT] NZXT H440 Owners Club

Those are really nice shots. Love the nonchalant placement of the case sticker.

Has anyone tried a custom loop in this case with the rad mounted up top? I see no point in mounting a rad at the front, cause it just blows all the hot air from the rad into your case and onto your other components.. I'm trying to decide between a 45mm or 30mm AlphaCool rad, and I plan to cool my GPU as well. Would doing this mean that blowing hot air across won't have as much of an effect? I'm not really a genius when it comes to watercooling.

I have a Seidon240m up top -- I believe its a 30mm rad, and with a pair of fans it just fits above the mobo. So, a thicker rad wouldnt work unless you mount the fans between the top of the chasis and the cover (which probably isnt a good idea as air flow is already restricted).

Lol it's 27mm.. I might just have to mount the rad in front, or just get a new case.

Hi everyone,

I just got a black/red H440 on the weekend and put my parts in. I'd like to install an NZXT led strip to make it look even better.

Has anyone here installed the NZXT kits? If so would you recommend the 100 or 200cm, and how would you route that thought the case?

I don't have much experience with lights and stuff so any advice will be appreciated!

Cheers

I run the blue 200cm, recommend getting the 200cm version. However i'm on my second kit, the first had had dead LED's after a few months, not sure if I was just unlucky or whether it's a common issue... But when they do work they look great!

NZXT has a pretty shaky past with anything LED, I'd recommend you get a different LED kit.

Has anyone had problems with the side panel window making an annoying buzzing noise from vibration (White H440)

Love my H440 case, I have a White/orange case which looks nice.

My friend wanted a black/black one so he bought two cases and removed the panels and switched them out.

Resulting in a white/orange and a black/black

I was wondering if anyone has tried fitting the MSI or XFX 290x cards with the larger fans inside their case and if it fits properly?

Good idea with switching out the panels. MSI and xfx cards should be able to fit. If not, just remove the HDD panels that you are not using.

Sweet I thought so.

Heres a pic of it, not an amazing picture but I think the White/Orange looks pretty nice

Alright guys so I have access to a h80i and a h100i. I've read that the h440 does better with AIOs on the rear exhaust due to the heat buildup in the top panel/vents. What do you guys suggest?

i had a h105 installed in a H440 and saw no real heat issues. The top gets hot to the touch but thats about it. temps don't go up the longer i keep the system running.

Hello guys,

Maybe this question has already been asked but I can't find it on the forum.
I am waiting for this case to arrive to me. I've noticed it comes with a fan hub inside.

If I understand correctly the fan hub is powered by a molex connector.

Can I safely power the fan hub with a modded molex connector to make all the fans run at 7v?

Please let me know.

yes.

Thank you,

So the back and NZXT logo, which are powered by the same molex connector will work at 7v and will not be harmed?

Built my first ever rig and chose this case. Love its look. Not the cleanest but my first try. Btw does the NZXT logo glow? I must have missed its connector.

Yes, the NZXT logo glows. Its connector is the one that cabletied down at the bottom of the case (in front of the psu -- its a 2pin header); by default, I'm pretty sure its attached to the fan hub in the back.

So I realized how easy it is to scratch the window on the H440. I even used a clean/new microfibre cloth. Does anyone know how to remove these scratches?

Does anyone else’s H440 get quite warm when playing graphically intensive games?

I have a 780 TI water cooled with a Corsair H55 and the gpu never goes higher than 60c after 10 hours of 99% gpu usage, (playing a game like Civ V all day it never went over 38c) I also have a 4790k cooled with a H100i and I’ve never seen it get to 70c (might be slightly high but certainly not worrying) so on paper temps appear to be good but I think it’s the radiators getting warm and so the side of the case feels warm, not too hot to touch but certainly warm.

Is this normal?

Although that does make me sad, my 780 peaks at 80ºc and usually sits around 75~ :(
