Someone tried to log in to my acct apparently ...

Also, i'm home, sick with covid-19 ... how are you all doing?

How long ago was the email dated for. The was an attack a while back that email were sent out to the entire membership.

Or was it recently?

According to our logs it looks like the person trying to log in does have a forum account, with a somewhat related username. I think it's therefore most likely that they thought they had your username, and tried to use it to log in.

What email did you get though? Without checking the code, I didn't think we sent an email on unsuccessful logins (there's not been any compromise if the login was unsuccessful).

This is one reason why I chose a long weirdass username.  If I was “bob03” or something it would cause all kinds of issues with “bob08”

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Plus signs can cause issues.  Maybe “p12plus1”
