  1. Well fuck me. I am a t-mobile customer... This looks really bad and can allow someone to do some nasty shit.
  2. Way back when I had my GTX260. It failed spectacularly when I was doing some minor overlocking on it. VRM blew and had fire come out of the card. EVGA promptly replaced it XD
  3. I once flushed my phone down the toilet... This was years ago when flip phones were a thing. Fell out of my breast pocket. I never carry anything in my breast pocket anymore due to that.
  4. Can you blow off the dust and take a picture of the platter? @Mel0nMan
  5. Jesus XD BTW, in the future check out a program called UFS explorer. If that was a software raid array it would likely just detect and mount the array no problem. It is a bit pricey though. You could also check R-Studio. And if you don't know the raid parameters, you can use reclaime raid recovery: http://www.freeraidrecovery.com/ Have it give you the parameters for the raid array then pop it into R-Studio and extract your data.
  6. I am use to be a data recovery engineer. I would LOVE to see this!!!!
  7. What is the worst tech catastrophe you have experienced? Dropped a drive with your PHD thesis and had to have it recovered? Spilt liquid on your laptop right before a meeting? Did a minor technical glitch at work take down your entire environment? Mine was when I had lost my RAID 0 on my gaming machine years back. One of the drives ate itself and I had a college term paper on it. Now? I am paranoid and have like 6 backups XD
  8. You know, 2020 was hell for me. Not because of I was trapped in my house, but because of the fear of "it" and more. At the time I had a mental health condition I was unaware of and the events through 2020, unable to really do much, etc... exacerbated things. I got really really bad to the point I nearly had a mental break. I was breaking down and crying on the side of the freeway at least once a week. Then, finally, I got help. in march of 2021.

In addition to my ADHD, I have Bipolar Type II and OCD.  I am on meds and in therapy. I finally have my sanity back. And most of all? Peace of mind. Being in denial, unaware of the tricks my mind was playing on me, fluctuating between bipolar depression and hypomania and dealing with the OCD. Throw in the emotional dysfunction caused by ADHD and bipolar disorder, imposter syndrome and lack of sleep... it was a lot. I am glad I finally got help.

BTW, OCD is thrown around a lot and isn't properly described. This is the definition of it:

Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is a mental health disorder that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and occurs when a person gets caught in a cycle of obsessions and compulsions. Obsessions are unwanted, intrusive thoughts, images, or urges that trigger intensely distressing feelings. Compulsions are behaviors an individual engages in to attempt to get rid of the obsessions and/or decrease his or her distress.

Most people have obsessive thoughts and/or compulsive behaviors at some point in their lives, but that does not mean that we all have “some OCD.” In order for a diagnosis of obsessive compulsive disorder to be made, this cycle of obsessions and compulsions becomes so extreme that it consumes a lot of time and gets in the way of important activities that the person values.

At my worst I was spending between 6-9 hours a day dealing with my compulsions.

If you are struggling, it isn't a weakness saying you need help. In fact, it takes strength to show your weakness and become vulnerable to ask for help.

  9. What drives me nuts is all these people claiming they have been hacked because they forgot a password. I had one person have me remove their wifi card from a macbook years ago. They claimed they were being hacked... I just direct them to a forensics services company in my area.
  10. Holy fuck. I just about choked on my water. No wonder why he wouldn't mention the cost on stream XD And he really would have to milk the videos. But seriously. Linus can do whatever the hell he wants with his money. Though, I Yevon would have the final say in the matter. I am also sure that luke is taken care of in many ways. You have no idea what Linus has done for him over the years, what he is paid, let alone anything else there is. They are good friends and have known each other for a long time. And one thing about linus after watching him all these years. He isn't afraid
  11. The ability to transistion to native code from x86 is pretty easy with the tools provided by Apple. So, it doesn't suprise me they are moving so fast. THough it is sad th at soon so many x86 systems are going to be left in the dust.
  12. Test it see what kind of temps you get. Must SSDs don't get hot unless they have a sustained load.
