I'm not sure I'll be able to hold onto that much because I DO rather want to sit and play games a bit more lol

Kind of wish my laptop didnt hit 100 degrees just turning on much less doing anything on it or id leave the desktop folding and go play games on that

I added my Surface Book 2 to the folding, just the GPU though. I do game sometimes on my desktop still so you'll probably be safe

After more than an hour of crunching numbers, my 1080 Ti just was awarded a wooping: "Final credit estimate, 7685.00 points"

Is this maybe of concern? Is this something others have experienced?

Not sure if the web client is having difficulty keeping up with the points...for me the web client has not updated since Friday night, and I am sure my rig has done 2 WUs since then.

But the 7685 awarded points message wasn't on the web client, was on the log tab in the Advanced Control window:

14:50:40:WU01:FS01:Server responded WORK_ACK (400)
14:50:40:WU01:FS01:Final credit estimate, 7685.00 points

Come to think of it, it would've been cool if I hadn't sold off all my mining hardware.

Actually I'm realizing... I would've crushed his PPD. No kidding. :D

Sadly, you cannot really use mining rigs that efficiently for folding, due to low number of PCIe lanes and PCIe risers bottlenecking GPUs...

Yeah, my 2080 S is doing around 2.4M PPD.

The link from @Kenpachi1985 is a great one! If you pull up your username, it can even show you hourly production stats along with points. I'm new to this so I'm not 100% sure, but I think the Advanced Control page just estimates how many points a WU will earn.

Can anyone that is running a Gigabyte Radeon RX 590 GAMING 8GB tell me what temperature they are running at please ?

My system had a AORUS Radeon RX580 8G it's running 100% load at 62C and 50% fan.

I bought the RX 590 to help out a bit more but it seems to be running hot to me it's running 100% load at 80C 63% fan even after I down clocked it to 1340MHz.

I'm using a ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING board so there is a gap between the cards and plenty of air flow I've even switched the position of the cards taken off the side panel it still running at 80C is this normal or do you think I have a bad card ?

So, while we be folding what does the LTT Folders think of this setup

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/jschorn0/saved/J3wmkL

of course i would rig up a second PSU as i would add 2 more Quadros.  But PCP doesnt understand that.

This is just theoretical as the cost would be astronomical.  But with my limited understanding of Folding this would be a good home based system dedicated to folding.

80°C aint great but its "fine" rather than downclocking it try undervolting it thats usually the parameter that raises or lowers the temp

Do you have a passkey and are eligible for the quick return bonus? I'm guessing this is you so you should be receiving the QRB. https://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_summary.php?s=&u=939153

Check further up in the logs when it started to upload the completed work unit. Does it say that it failed to connect to the work server and attempted the collection server instead?

If it fails to upload to the work server (due to ongoing server issues on their end) it will attempt to upload to the collection server instead. There is an issue where the collection servers aren't giving out any credit. It won't be able to calculate the QRB for the estimation and will only show the base credit for the WU.

I've lost about half of my WUs to this in the last 2 days.

I mean as long as they arent giving out credits proportionally for everyone its not a problem, right? :D

Well massive issues for me today, internet on PC keeps dropping in and out but WIFI works and all other devices on the same network connect to the net without issue...

Now I have internet back (but who knows for how long) the FAH server is not working. Going to reinstall.

Yes that's me, thanks! I have restarted the software and also my two folding PCs a few times since starting some days ago (just in case,) so can't see too far back in the software logs though.

In any case what you mention about collection servers might explain it. I've noticed it fails to upload to the servers rather often after finishing a WU, then after a few minutes finally it starts uploading. However normally a decent point estimate is given. I'll keep monitoring.

That is a different issue. If the points are showing up on your web control then that means you have received credit for it. The F@H stats page is a little bit behind due to all the traffic and judging by todays extremeoverclocking updates it seems they're also having issues pulling the stats data from F@H.

Your points should show up on the F@H stats page in the next few hours and then the next extremeoverclocking update after that.

I wanted to write and thank the collective group for putting all the education I needed to get started quickly. Thank you! Would have taken me hours to figure it all out on my own. I put together another box and have 5 of my 7 GPUs to work. 4x Nvidia 1070's and 1 1060 I'd have all 7 going but I'm short some pcie power cables at the moment. That would put me up 2 more 1070s. I'm here to help and do my part.

I struggled with getting my linux box (Ubuntu 18.04) figured out so if anyone else is in that boat I'm happy to tell you what I know. The GPU.txt file is the key!

Thanks! Just checked and yes, in older logs from the past few days I can find other very low reported score estimates, like 7608, 9405. It's only now that I noticed such low estimates.
