The most clever product packaging ever by Sony

http://www.theverge.com/2014/2/11/5401084/sony-mp3-player-comes-inside-bottle-of-water

Sony's W Series Walkman is a barebones MP3 player with one key selling point: it's waterproof. But that can be a difficult thing to highlight on store shelves — at least when you're limited to traditional retail packaging. For its customers in New Zealand, Sony decided to try something different. With the help of ad firm DraftFCB, the company came up with a brilliant plan to help set its product apart from alternatives like Apple's iPod shuffle. The earbud / MP3 player combo comes packaged inside a full bottle of water, a clever marketing tactic that immediately highlights its waterproof construction.

From there, Sony concentrated on product placement for this "bottled Walkman," selling it in vending machines at gyms and indoor pool facilities. This made it possible for consumers to buy an MP3 player alongside their normal workout refreshments — but at a cost much higher than your average bottle of Gatorade.

I am still saddened that they sold their vaio business. They always had some great innovative laptops that generally were quite reliable. What is left now? Lenovo? And besides lenovo thinkpads, which are sturdy but heavy and overpriced, there doesn't seem to be any good alternatives in the pc world. The regular lenovo laptops are quite unreliable and crappy (I have seen many issues with them) and it's not like dell, hp or asus laptops are any better. :'(

Ultrabooks are all the craze now. Professional users have always gotten the shaft except from IBM/Lenovo/higher end Vaio. Now you have only 2 choices, Lenovo or Latitude.

I think your absolutely wrong, a product is nothing without the proper target of there advertising. which they got perfectly, this isn't for the regular joe and they point that out. heck just the fact that i can wear it in the shower and or go for a swim with them makes me want them, and im sure i could tell all my friends about them and im sure they would buy a pair. So Sony has done good.

My only question is, can you drink the water?!?

Lenovo is currently in the process of ruining their IBM legacy anyway. They add useless gimmicks, ruin the keyboard and trackpad, while still maintaining to somehow keep that legacy weight as well.

MSI only makes gaming laptops (at least in the US) as far as I know. Generally I'm not too keen on gaming laptops because they're bulky and heavy and have horrible battery life. Not to mention that you can get much better performance out of a much cheaper desktop. And of course since it's a laptop you're not ever going to be able to ugprade the GPU or CPU.

weirdly enough I didn't even have to clear cookies. I just did clear history on firefox and it fixed the problem. Which is really strange since I don't see why history would affect this.
