Then  there is the issues with the G3. 

My first G2 was rock solid for 6 years before it finally took a dump. It was still under warranty and EVGA sent me a brand new one under their 10 year warranty so I'm happy.

Yeah I looked at the PSU list posted on this forum as I was curious. Just sticking with a “trusted” brand isn’t a guarantee that your PSU isn’t a ticking time bomb.

Well, the G3 isnt a ticking time bomb. Its in tier D due to reasons for it to be not recommended.
