My super cheap and easy cable management solution.

I couldn't bring myself to spend close to $25 on an cable management solution so I came up with my own and I think it's honestly a lot better!

 

All that's needed is:

• a roll of Velcro Hook and Loop
• a heavy stapler like the T-50 I have:

 

 

 

 

1. Cut a piece of the velcro enough to wrap all your wires, plus a bit extra and staple it under the desk

 

 

 

2. Wrap up your wires! That's it!

 

 

 

The benefits of this is that it looks a lot cleaner (in my opinion), it's modular to fit your needs and is a TON cheaper than any other product you can buy.

I like your solution, I might try that next time when I have some cables to manage. There are other cheap solutions like screwing small hooks to the underside of the table or using zip ties that can either be stapled or nailed to the underside of the desk (even better to use reuseable zip ties, those are very cheap too).

I usually like to also mount a power bar under the table, I think I would need something stronger than velcro for that purpose (or a lot of velcro, which could block the power bar's sockets).

That's what these cables are leading to. Any decent power strip will have screw mounting holes on the back of it which you can then mount under the desk. 

 

By the way: if anyone is looking to do this... easiest way I have found is to take a piece of paper, poke holes where the screw mounting holes are on the power strip,  then tape the piece of paper to where you are trying to screw in. Put screws where the holes are, then remove the piece of paper. It's super difficult to eye ball.

I got lucky, the way my desk is put together there's some metal hoops that hang down and I can run cables through them (but I also use a bit of velcro).

i just use a piece of duct or electrical tape and tape it in a loop but folded over so it's not sticky except for some parts
