What movies should I watch?

kelvinhall05

I'm looking for some movies to watch on Canadian Netflix (important because it has a smaller collection than US Netflix), but I don't know what to watch. I really, really love sci-fi. I've already watched Arrival, and I fucking loved it; it's one of my favourite movies of all time lol. I don't watch a ton of movies, but I do read a lot of books. I really love super hardcore sci-fi, and one of my favourites is Losing Mars by Peter Cawdon. Does anyone know any movies similar to this book or just any good sci-fi movies? Thanks!

Annihilation was quite good. It's in German Netflix at least. If you can find “under the skin“check it out. It's very slow paced, but very atmospheric and super well shot, really enjoyed that. Probably not on Netflix, but super cheap used on Amazon, save the green planet, Korean production, highly amusing and slightly disturbing. One of my favorites in the genre.

I put Annihilation on my list as it was the only one I could find. It looks interesting, thanks!

I’m working on a media list in my signature.

I think snowpiercer was on USA Netflix. That was decent at best.

Dead within is a weird horror movie that got bad reviews but I loved it. Explores the psychological effects of a zombie apocalypse.

The avenger movies are good too.

Edit:

i think they added district 9 which is one of my favourites of all time.

Star wars 7+ is bad IMO.

Yeah, it was quite good, until the part where it felt like whoever made it was tripping balls on acid. Which essentially ruined it to me. Could've been so much more...

There's a lot of the Marvel movies if you haven't seen them somehow.

Bright is relatively good too.

Halo The Fall of Reach, if you're into that series.

Star wars sequel sucks. They are probably gonna do 3 movies like ep 1-3 for prequel, 4-6 for the original, then 7-9 for the shitty sequel.

21 Jump Street - 10/10. They really caught lightning in a bottle with this one. The characters are believable, there is a fair bit of heart / some feels and oodles of utterly bizarre, seemingly completely ab libbed dialogue. There are soooo many funny lines.

10/10 for sure, especially good if you watch with a friend

Love, Death & Robots.

It's series of short unrelated animated movies and it's pretty damn cool. Some have really mindblowing plot twists or endings.

How can you claim to be into Sci-Fi but not like Star Trek? That's like a prerequisite

I recently watched Incredibles 2. I waited for so many years for this part and Pixar completely nailed it. A good movie you can watch. The complete details about free movie websites are available on the blog.

Battlestar Galactica 2005, sadly no longer on Netflix.

There are movie-films and extended episodes, look up a watching guide.
