If you could give your younger self one piece of advice

xKyric

I would tell myself to take some time off after highschool and before college. In retrospect, I was very burt out of school and needed some time to figure myself out before I began to work toward my career. I ended up failing out of university after my 3rd semester and working a few jobs and taking trade school classes before I figured out who I was and what I wanted to be. I don't regret where I am now, but I would have saved alot of money and been farther along the path I find myself on now if I would have just taken the time to find myself. It took me six years of trying a bunch of things before I figured out myself. I was not ready for higher education yet and wasn't sure if that was the path I wanted when I was 18 years old. I eventually went back to school and am acitvely working on finishing my electrical engineering degree with a great job at an engineering firm. I just wish I had the balls to tell my parents that I didn't want to go to college yet and needed to figure myself out first.

Stop eating so damn much. P.S. just tell Andrea what you feel, don't dance around it.

Now that I have had more time to think about it, my past self could maybe also tell my future self not to try to fix its future by trying to fix its past but to look ahead instead. That of course assumes that a short conversation between me and my younger self would be possible in this setting.

depends on how young i guess.

but i think it would mostly be fininacial advice like the winnning numbers of the upcoming lottery drawing. then reinvest that win into google as soon as it pops into existence or some shit.

also id tell him to forget about pcs since i feel my fascination with tech has lead me into a life im really not all that happy with.

also get in better shape you fat little fuck. your lack in physical activity is the reason i suffer from a lack of testosteron and cant grow a full beard so do some sit ups and go for a run and dont make me come back.

ohhh and forget about sarah. get out there. theres others.

When looking back, there could be given several good hints on what to do or not to do.

Even though, I would only consider doing such a thing, if it doesn't change the actual me. Charakter traits, behaviorisms etc.

Lots of pain could have been averted with an early adivse ?

Main System:

Anghammarad : Asrock Taichi x570, AMD Ryzen 7 5800X @4900 MHz. 32 GB DDR4 3600, some NVME SSDs, Gainward Phoenix RTX 3070TI

System 2 "Igluna" AsRock Fatal1ty Z77 Pro, Core I5 3570k @4300, 16 GB Ram DDR3 2133, some SSD, and a 2 TB HDD each, Gainward Phantom 760GTX.

System 3 "Inskah" AsRock Fatal1ty Z77 Pro, Core I5 3570k @4300, 16 GB Ram DDR3 2133, some SSD, and a 2 TB HDD each, Gainward Phantom 760GTX.

On the Road: Acer Aspire 5 Model A515-51G-54FD, Intel Core i5 7200U, 8 GB DDR4 Ram, 120 GB SSD, 1 TB SSD, Intel CPU GFX and Nvidia MX 150, Full HD IPS display

Media System "Vio": Aorus Elite AX V2, Ryzen 7 5700X, 64 GB Ram DDR4 3200 Mushkin, 1 275 GB Crucial MX SSD, 1 tb Crucial MX500 SSD. IBM 5015 Megaraid, 4 Seagate Ironwolf 4TB HDD in raid 5, 4 WD RED 4 tb in another Raid 5, Gainward Phoenix GTX 1060

(Abit Fatal1ty FP9 IN SLI, C2Duo E8400, 6 GB Ram DDR2 800, far too less diskspace, Gainward Phantom 560 GTX broken need fixing)

Nostalgia: Amiga 1200, Tower Build, CPU/FPU/MMU 68EC020, 68030, 68882 @50 Mhz, 10 MByte ram (2 MB Chip, 8 MB Fast), Fast SCSI II, 2 CDRoms, 2 1 GB SCSI II IBM Harddrives, 512 MB Quantum Lightning HDD, self soldered Sync changer to attach VGA displays, WLAN

I have made enough mistakes in my life that a single piece of advice wouldn't matter. It would probably just give me a false hope that things could be better.

Among many things, I would tell myself to read as much as good lit as I can. Really. I suppose it would have helped me have a better grasp of my emotions at the time and better expression.

I was such an idiot in my younger days. I sometimes think about this and wish I could go back in time and kick my own ass. LOL. I'm pretty happy where I am now, but it took about 5 times the work because I made stupid decisions and was lazy back then.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Nothing. I'm not 100% happy with who I am physically/mentally, but at the same time life has a path for us all for a reason. I have been through a lot of trauma and I would not go back to avoid a second of it.

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

Wall Of Fame (Informative people/People I like): @Glenwing @DrMacintosh @Schnoz @TempestCatto @LogicalDrm @Dan Castellaneta

Math isn't arithmetic.

I wouldn't change a single mistake, even the ones that really, really fucked me up -even the ones I still have yet to recover from. Those are the things that contribute most to who you are. And honestly, ignorance isn't bliss, it's just ignorance.

I started actually liking math in 8th grade, and good god did that become a thing. All because suddenly math was puzzles, not times tables. That's something I could stand to have known earlier.

"Do as I say, not as I do."

-Because you actually care if it makes sense.
