According to this Dutch hardware news site;

https://nl.hardware.info/nieuws/amp/65327/wooting-introduceert-analoge-lekker-switch---lekker-typen?__twitter_impression=true

Traveldistance of 4 mm with a sencedistance of 0,1 mm to 3,8 mm. They are going to be hot-swappable and they need no mechanical connection because it is using magnets. This technology is called the 'Hall effect'.

The name of the switch will be "Lekker" which translates to "Nice /tasty /yummy".

Edit: Wooting also has a blog about this:

At least it'll make driving in games like GTA easier for those who swear by keyboard and mouse.

Too bad I can't read the article, hardware.info wants to verify that it has installed its cookie on my PC before it will dismiss the cookie pop-up.

Hall effect switches are EXTREMELY reliable, like 40 years of constant use reliable at least, so this could be sweet if the build of the switches, the key feel and the boards you can put them in are well built

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

"Here is some advice that might have gotten lost somewhere along the way in your life.

#1. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

#2. It's best to keep your mouth shut; and appear to be stupid, rather than open it and remove all doubt.

#3. There is nothing "wrong" with being wrong. Learning from a mistake can be more valuable than not making one in the first place.
