is it just me or are the posts here slowing down?

 

I haven't been on as often and my reasoning to that is the wait for the game for me at times can be torturous, and stepping away from the forums from time to time makes the wait easier.

Indeed. There's no point in doing something like a V formation, unless it would be better for fighting (I know nothing about dog-fighting, I know a bit about aviation though, and the V formation and Congo are best for fuel economy, but in space it wouldn't make a difference.).

The good thing about space is the distance you don't want to be bunched up if you don't have to be, formations should be used to confuse the enemies by splitting the formation in different directions but ultimately communication, manoeuvres and a good wingman will be more important.

Yeah, the more bunched up you are the easier to hit you are. And if someone speeds up and somebody else doesn't you could have a massive accident.

Could anybody explain me what exactly "engineer" would do and second would the origin 300i (anyone of them) be a good ship for mining / engineer. I don't know anything so, much ask.

Not much is known about mining, but i don´t think the 300i is a good choice for that, its more of a fighter then laborer. Sadly there are no mining ships available for pledges right now.

As for engineering, i believe your main focus is Creating stuff.

The 300 series or the avenger are good ships at that price range

Yeah but he wanted to mine and sadly there are no mining ships, and if we can fit normal ships with mining laser (or whatever we mine with) then the Avanger´s cargo is...not ideal exactly. 
Then again i don´t remember the specs on it but i dare say a 300i has bigger cargo.

The 300i has 8 tonnes of cargo capacity, while the Avenger has 10.

Also, the Avenger has a rear facing loading door + pilot airlock compartment, which will be easier with loading cargo into the ship.

I would get a ship now if you want to participate in the dogfighting module and alpha and beta. You could just make credits with that ship so you could purchase a mining ship with credits.

Some weekly, or maybe even daily, show to talk about stuff like increases or decreases in prices of different things, warning us about pirates in different systems, telling us about the status of ongoing wars between the Vanduul, and other orgs, etc.

Something like a pan-conglomerate news report here and then would be nice. But I'm sure the game will have something of the sort already built in.
