Long time no post, looks like we've grown a lot since I last checked. Sadly I still have to wait for the multi-org membership drop before I can join on paper.

 

So I've been wondering what kind of work I'll want to do in the PU, preferably something that'll benefit the org. I concluded that something that I don't think I've seen mentioned much here is Information Running, and depending on how important moving in-game data becomes, it would be vital for a large org to have a dedicated in-house Runner or a few.

 

And if it's something really critical, it wouldn't hurt to get a small military escort, right?

How will the military be divided in this? I would like to participate in specifically escorting goods and protection of trade in the military.  Do we have a system set up for divisions yet?

Search on google for your local graphics store, they should be able to print posters.

Alpha spots are going down quick...can i just buy a simple package with alpha etc? Don't really need a ship right now, i can get one pretty soon tho. I just want to secure my spot. Would i just buy the lowest package (Aurora) since i cant find any package with alpha beta etc?

Would "Melting" (dont really know what it is, i think you basically destroy it and get "Credit"?) it later allow me to keep the alpha beta access?

you can buy the 40$ package now and upgrade later, you still keep the alpha slot

You need at least an Aurora MR+ for alpha.

I see, thanks both. But if I "melt" the package, do i get just the freelancer ($125) or the freelancer + ($140)? I'm thinking I would have to get the freelancer $125 because I keep the alpha spot etc?

 

So after searching etc, I can melt it and use the $40 toward my freelancer.

CR said DFM will be around end of this month or early next month (late Apri or early May).

Also if you don't know, if you have a ship but not one of the ships you can use for the DFM, they will loan u one corresponding (price wise) to your ship that you have that is not in the DFM.

But what I wanna know is If you have 3 ships ranging from the aurora, the other DFM ship, and the hornet, then do you get 3 loaner ships or do you get to choos which?

I'm guessing that if you have absolutely no ship that's in the first DFM release, then you'll get a loaner. But if you have multiple ships and at least one of them is in the first iteration, then you likely won't get a loaner because you have a ship that can fly in the DFM.

They will probably give u 1 ship that is equivalent to your most or least expensive one, assuming your others aren't going to be supported. If you want to know message Luke and ask him to ask Chris Roberts sense he will be interviewing him tomorrow. Atleast he said he would on the post pax stream yesterday.

If, for example, you have a 325a, you will get to fly the 300i in DFM v1. Later on they will add the variations.

I have an Aurora MR and a 325a, so I think I will be able to use both (hope so)
