Bonbon means candy indeed but it's the short for Boulette because she was kind of an idiot cat

I picked her because of her red hair dot on her forehead, it was very cute. I do miss her too, she disappeared 10 years ago so she may have been catnapped or killed by a car

Found this little guy hunkering down this morning on the concrete divider median of a busy four lane highway. At a glance I thought he had already been hit and killed, but saw it move it's head . A quick U turn and picked him up. Amazingly no damage except for abrasions to the mouth and chin, and all the claws of both rear feet ground off to the nub. Very tame/loving and obviously someone's indoor cat. Evidently know as a Snowshoe breed.

I want a cat. I had one when I was married and living in Utah. However, when I divorced, and moved back here, I had to leave my kitty with my ex, who despite agreeing to contact me before rehoming her, did so anyway. Then my ex died.

 

My parents had a huge lump of a cat (she was a Maine Coon, 14 lbs, and almost all muscle), but two summers ago, we had awful smoke from a nearby wild fire, and despite our best efforts, that cat refused to stay in the house. The smoke gave her an awful respiratory infection, which after a 2 moth battle, she passed away from.

 

I was very close to getting a cat rather recently, but right now, after the local evacuations, fires, and general bad atmosphere, I'm actually really glad I didn't.

 

As soon as I move, I'm getting 3 cats: One for me, one for my BFF, and one for her Chihuahua. My BFF's bf doesn't want a cat, so he can't have one.  Her Chihuahua LOVES kitties, and despite being 21 years old, he still plays with kitties as if he were a puppy.

Found a dead Rat infront our Door again. Our Dogs never put dead Animals infront the House.

Only the two Cats feel the need for that. I wonder where they catch the Rats.

I left my cat in one night and went right to bed again, but I didn't look at her. Five minutes later after failing to visually get my attention (as I was trying to sleep again), she meowed to point my attention to the dead bird in her mouth (or rather now in front of her) that I haven't seen before. After I noticed and pet her, you could hear it go crunch crunch. That's just the way they are, I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Lol, I've literally never seen one in for real in my entire life.

I´ve set it free. One wing was a bit messed up, but it still could fly. The cat searched for it for like 10 minutes and than " nahh whatever, i´ll take a nap" ^^

According to Jackson Galaxy on youtube, cat's catch and bring stuff to you because they think you suck at hunting, and are trying to help you to eat, or something like that.

 

Personally, I've never had an outdoor cat, so this hasn't been an issue for me.

 

Cat: *Sees toes in socks move slightly... MURDER MODE: ENGAGED.*

Consider yourself lucky. My moms outdoor cat attacked a baby squirrel the other day and just left it on the ground to die. The cat later ate everything except for the face.

Well, yeah... Cats are hunters. =o.o= They gonna kill and eat things.

 

Unless you live in certain areas, squirrels are pretty prolific, so one getting killed and eaten won't make any difference to the population.

But in some regions cats are a problem for the local wildlife especially bird population
