Outside of computers/gaming, what hobbies do you guys have?

Just wondering what everyone is into! Would love for conversations to spark so we can learn more about a hobby we're not familiar with or maybe spark a new interest :)

 

Growing up in the good ol' south I was raised to treat guns as a tool and went hunting a lot, so nearly every weekend you can catch me at the range. Currently have 11 firearms in the house, 2 of them being NFA items, with an assortment of 8,000+ rounds of ammunition. May or may not be prepping for a zombie apocalypse. I also just picked up 3D printing. I'm not very good at it and haven't printed anything super impressive yet but I'm learning and it's just neat that printing out actual items was something of Sci-Fi when I was a child and it's a reality now. And when it's not freezing or raining outside you can catch on two wheels, love my motorcycle.

Getting away on the motorbike or planning my next trip. Currently looking to get to Portugal and Spain for a week.

I also work on projects like custom made desks during the summer.

What's your thought's on civilians having guns? Any specific reason why you're not a fan of it?

Hobbyist level craftsmanship (woodworking, welding, etc)
Reading (just about anything and everything)
Much like yourself, firearms. I reside in California, however, so what I have access too is very heavily restricted. My collection at the moment largely predates 1949. Some hobbyist level gunsmithing in there as well, given that it's getting increasingly more difficult to find parts for some of the firearms I own. Currently in the process of getting into reloading as well.

I know I'm not the person who you responded to, but this might be relevant.

I live in the US, in an area where guns aren't really much of a thing. I am pretty sure that for many people where I live, including myself to some extent, the main things guns are then associated with are armed crime/wars as that is the context in which they hear about them the most, as they are not seen as hunting tools.

I very rarely see guns besides with the police, so I guess they just feel kind of out of place with civilians to me.

That being said, I respect the use of guns for target practice (which I have done) and legal hunting and would much rather regulations on guns than outright banning them.

That's pretty high.  I have been to a place like that ~12000' in Colorado it's called Loveland pass.

That's too easy, the Tanfoglio Elite Match in 9mm.  Real light and crisp trigger, with virtually no recoil(147gr bulltet with 3.0gr Clays set to 1.145" OAL for this gun.)
