Cannot close my case because of my GPU !!!!

Can't find a solution for this problem.

- Graphic card is a evga geforce gtx 1080 ftw

- Pc case is a 901 Design Mini-ITX Tower

You could use a PCIe riser cable to mount your GPU in another orientation.

You can try to bend that cable tight and see if you can put it on that way. I have the same problem with my Corsair 280x and, I have to push on the panel to get it to screw on.

Bend the shit out of the wires to try and form a 90 degree angle. As long as you aren't constantly bending the wires back and forth, they won't break on the inside.

Why is there a bunch of cables going across the CPU area, and over the RAM??

bit radical but you could cut a rectangle that lines up with the pcie slot into the side panel of the case. it would also look cool as you would be able to see the gtx 1080 ftw logo coming through hte side panel. quick note: A: for it to look good the cuts for the rectnagle would have to be well measured and well cut and edges sanded to look smooth. and B: this will void any warranty you have on the case.

@yallovemilka Could you please make a picture from the front so we can see how far the connector is sticking out?

You might just be able to bend the cable up really tight and fit the panel on but, if that's not possible then, an EVGA power link is your best option.

(Assuming it can fit but, doesn't look like it would.)

 

As for the PCIe riser cable, you can't mount your GPU anywhere else in that case so, you are out of luck there.

I briefly considered needling one of these for my EVGA 1080ti FTW3 in my 380t. 

 

Also note your GPU height is 128mm and your cases listed max GPU height is 135, so there's a reason you're very tight on space.

There is a difference between a PCI-E riser cable and a PCI-E power cable. 

 

The PCI-E cable is used to repetition the entire GPU, which usually requires space to rotate the GPU and almost always requires some sort of bracket or modding. You r case has no room for such a configuration.

 

The PCI-E power cable is the cable that plugs into the GPU. This is your best solution to fix the issue IMO

I agree with that....

There is no way that that GPU fits in that case. So you have to either replace the GPU or the Case. There is no other way.

 

With ITX you have to know what you're doing and what the system is for - its the hardmode for PC Building.

Normal ATX are easy mode, you can do way less wrong with a decent ATX, hell even µATX, case than with an ITX case if you just buy for the looks without thinking about the size of the components...

Because you have to be very careful what components to combine as many things just don't fit.

 

For example a rather big Silverstone RVZ-01 allows only a lower profile Heatsink like NH-L12S. And that's as big as it gets in that case.

I......I.....I.....I....didn't know this was a thing?  At that point why mount it to the case at all lol - make a bracket that faces it to the ceiling and you have a open air radiator.  Best thermals ever lol
