BioShock Infinite is on sale for $7.50. It is in my top 5 favorite games of all time, along with a few Legend of Zelda games. SOMA is another great game if you like story mixed with horror. I would also keep an eye on Homefront. Unfortunately is isn't on sale at this time but if it does, I would snag that one. Excellent game.

I was about to say Red Dead Redemption 2, but then I realized that this was PC. Life is Strange and Life is Strange 2 are good, and so is Firewatch and Battlefield V. Battlefield has a really good story for the single-player part, but it's mostly multiplayer oriented.

You really think so? I kinda felt the game was a huge disappointment that tried to be a thing thanks to Unreal Engine's improved graphics... extremely repetitive gameplay... meh fighting mechanics, dumb puzzles and the story... was... okay?

Any ways OP do you prefer third person or first person perspective? you're looking for single player story driven games basically?

I'll agree that the story itself isnt *stellar*, but that mixed with the setting and sound design, I found really enjoyable

My 2 cents will go to Dishonored franchise... a game Bethesda managed not to screw up with somehow.

Oh, yeah.  I enjoyed that series as well.

The lastest Thief had an interesting story as well.  That one area though....damn, it had some Amnesia the Dark Descent vibes going on.

I had no issues other than one crash through the entire playthrough when I played it. Lost me like 10mins of gameplay. You're right tho, maybe not worth recommending, sad because it was such a good game tho.
