What’s the worst part of your rig?

MeltyMoon

It's a close race between my HD5750 CF or the hard drive (Samsung Spinpoint F3). But the keyboard isn't too brilliant either - the only white part in a black and red themed build (A4tech KBS-720).

NZXT case fans--they aren't silent when everything else in my rig nearly is.

yeah, people overestimate ram speeds over 1600 for gaming really. I don't blame you for overspending on it since that's the image everyone portrays.

by the way, why don't you have an hdd?

I guess another part of my rig is only having 8 gigs of ram, I can't multitask too much (still a bunch, but not as much as I'd like to)

I don't mind the Dominators, but the extra price I paid for 2400mhz over 1600mhz for zero benift, ridiculous.

Were you asking me why I don't have any HDD's? If so I don't in my gaming system, but I have a 22tb NAS that gets me by... :D

The fan's.

I can't for the life of me find fans which are 100% silent (no buzzing or whining or ticking)

I hate two things in my rig. My mainboard and my GPU:

The mainboard was actually bought because it was the cheapest Z77 - Board avaiable and the GPU used to be fairly good roughly 2 years ago :D

My 680s. Horrible overclockers, should never have gone with Nvidia, should have sticked with ATI / AMD as I have all my life...

and my radiator fans. [Phobya G.Silent red LED]

Wanted to go for Noctuas but at 300$ they kinda exhausted my budget too much so I got a 9-Pack of the phobya ones for 65$ ^^ [Don't get me wrong, they are fine fans, but I want noctuas ^^]

My CPU... I hate i5 650

haha yeah, in quite a few benchmarks the i3 550 actually kept up with the i5 or even performed slightly better. idk what the problem was with the first gen i5 / i7 series but a lot of people have complaints.

My biggest complain is that it cannot run Guild Wars 2 at playable framerates in WvW/ in cities. basically less players = better fps and more players = terrible fps

It used to be my Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3. I couldn't get a good overclock on it. I have since bought the Sabertooth990FX... 4.4Ghz FX8150

The 990fxa ud3 is a great mobo. I have it and im 4.4ghz on a fx8120.

My most hated part of my rig is my 7870 because the pcb is sagging and slightly bent.

Well my computer would surely be a beast, only thing I don't like about it is that I "only" have a GTX660. Hopefully I'll upgrade to a GTX780. The next thing would be the stock heatsink on the CPU and third would be a HDD. Don't get me wrong it is one of the best HDDs out there but it is still a HDD which means it loads BF3 incredibly slow. But hopefully I'll soon get rid of these flaws and get a 780 as listed higher, Corsair H100i and an SSD.

you sure that's the CPU causing that? Guild Wars 2 isn't supposed to kill your i5

I blame your 4 GB ram

A stupid Antec Fan that is my back intake.

The fan itself is really nice, not to loud and massif air-movement even at low speeds.

But it has this stupid blue led light in it that cant be turned off... The damn thing is visible from 20 miles away. It is so bright I have to wear sunglasses at night.

Proud to be from Belgium.

My gigabyte HD7970 with the blue pcb, soo ugly, but the card is great!

Otherwise its the stock intel cooler that bothers me, but i will eventually replace it with a H100i.

Hrm, now I don't know, if I saw this thread when it was created I would probably say my PSU, a cheapo 850W, but now I have a AX860i so.

Perhaps my SSD (Yeah SSD..). It is far from as fast as I thought it would be, it is 2 years old know though and used without TRIM support most of the time, but I just, expect more from it. Have considering buying a new one but it just costs to much for me now :P

EDIT:
Oh, the unsleeved fan cables! X) I hate them. And the loose internal USB 3.0 cable, annoying
