Beautiful cars especially without any logos. How about a 1999 BMW 735. It looks pretty similar in style.

They look nice but i can't say i'm into Bimmers, if i had to go with german cars, i'd go with a Mercedes W140 S-Klasse.

Why are their tires sideways?

Its negative camber, in some cases (such as in drifting or FWD grip handling) negative camber can aid big time in handling, but those two Lexus (Lexuses? Lexis? Lexi? What is the plural for Lexus?) have it just for sheer visual impact when the bags on the air suspension are aired out, they level out when the bags are aired up again.

Here's a proper drift racing car with permanent aggresive negative camber for comparison:

all starting at the UNreasonable price of $41,500 USD. This is the car everybody is after, and if you watch Top Gear UK's review on it, you will understand why:

They were reasonable in 2016 before they jacked the MSRP the next year because they couldnt sell them fast enough. Considering the ST starts at $25k its hard to justify especially when you start adding bells and whistles (though honestly theirs not much else to include, but still)

BMW Z4 E89,

ACCUAIR Suspension (lowering it to the ground),

dihedral synchro-helix actuated doors (the mechanism koenigsegg uses),

deep concave wheels on there,

and then the whole thing powered by 4 electric motors,

ohh and recaro seats on the inside (otherwise the innterior is perfect)

oh and if were getting really freaky id also like a transparent oled in the windshield glass panel for augmented reality navigation and stuff

It gets worse after you factor in the fact that the STs can be had with discounts, so you dont really pay MSRP, but on the RS, that's not how it works, you'll be lucky to pay MSRP.

I paid $21.5k for mine brand new, so I'd only have to add another $21.5k to get into an RS...

Ya but the reason the 2018 is more expensive isn't really due to them selling too slowly, although they did sell somewhat slowly.

Have you seen the new 2018? It comes with ALL of the optional features from the 2016-2017 models, plus custom painted sections for a real "race" look.

Its still much better value than the AMG A45 alternative. Plus way more fun to drive than the A45. You ask me its still the best car out there for the price point.

My dream bike replaced the ZX10R and ZX636r I sold to convince the wife into letting me get it.

I bring you the Kawasaki H2R. Fastest production bike ever made.

Selling slowly? I had a Ford dealership manager tell me that he had guys dropping 15k as a down payment and saying "call me when you get one" (referring to the RS) I've rarely ever seen one on a lot before.

I'd want a sailboat or catamaran/trimaran with enough space and seaworthiness to travel the globe. Then have the ability to carry a motorcycle and ebicycles so when we get to say Phillipines we can anchor or dock, and have our own wheels to travel inland.

The RS really isn't that great, buddy of mine sold his after a year because it just didn't live up to the hype and rides horribly.

He sold it and bought a used Cayman for less money, and loves that thing.

The RS wasn't even that great at autocross (hyper-competitive, admittedly)-- head gaskets are an issue, rear diff overheats almost immediately, and again, horrible ride without the performance handling to back it up. He wasn't willing to change shocks due to classing reasons, and after a year decided it wasn't the car for him.

Once they figure out the head gaskets and diff issues, and they're selling for $25-30k used, then I'd consider one...and would change suspension immediately.

I'm rather glad I have such achievable goals for my dream vehicle. . .

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
        In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
        In Flanders fields.

Cry havoc and let slip the Togs of war.  (Signature V3)

Idk man I trust this review over everything because they do into deep detail and compare against all of the major rivals:

I know it rides harsh but honestly would you want it any other way in your 350 BHP rocket? Maybe its just me but if I want a sporty car, I want it to be stiff and corner flat.

I am currently running a GTI with Blistein Nurburgring Edition Shock Absorbers with Eibach 1" Lowering Springs that are about 20% stiffer spring rate and its really not bad for everyday drivability.

That's a good review. For me, the reviews of guys who paid their own money for the car and did the kind of stuff I would do (track days, autocross, daily duties) hold more weight.

There is a major misconception that stiff and shitty ride means sporty handling-- that's hardly the case. Lots of body roll isn't great, but you can reduce body roll significantly without making it feel like you have solid linkages instead of shocks-- high quality shocks that are well tuned for rebound/compression working in concert with properly sized anti roll bars will do this.

Stiff suspension up to a point is necessary, but the RS's factory tune FEELS sporty but actually isn't tuned well for either competitive use or daily driving. In contrast, with a well optimized suspension set up, you can absorb bumps without unsettling the chassis, making the ride very compliant but keeping sporty cornering while minimizing body roll.

My racecar rides better than my street car because it's running MCS doubles with 650/800 lb springs-- that's 3-4x stock spring rate (when accounting for linear vs progressive springs), and with massive sway bars too-- these shocks soak up bumps like magic due to their valving. They don't ride harshly nor are they overdamped to provide a stiff feel-- they can control the chassis movement separately from their bump control. In contrast, the Focus RS has jacked up the chassis movement dampening to the point where the car cannot absorb bumps, causing the 'pogo-like' ride quality the reviewers everywhere talk about.

Cars need compliance in the suspension to maximize grip, especially over bumps. Overly damped suspensions (eg Focus RS, Bilstein Sports in E36 fitment) are not soaking up the bumps as well as they could be and are reducing per-tire grip to give you a flatter cornering chassis.

my 2c from the competitive suspension nerd point of view.

They look nice but i can't say i'm into Bimmers, if i had to go with german cars, i'd go with a Mercedes W140 S-Klasse.

Beautiful body design... A true Mercedes just the rims are horrible maybe the ones that come on Aston Martin's would look good on this. Also no hideous large emblem on the grille.

I love the z4. So you want a lowrider z4??? cool. Is that the upward opening doors from Koenigsegg??? How can you add them to a BMW?? I love the tech nevertheless. 4 electric motors?? Man this is a killer build idea I would do this to a mustang or an old muscle car and maybe you know have 2 motors and a V8..

It is the best in its class for the price point but i would rather get something like jeep or maybe get a really busted old car and add in a v6 or v8 and modern parts like air suspension and maybe i can get it within the budget and achieve higher performance. But of course not everyone can do that so...

That's a good review. For me, the reviews of guys who paid their own money for the car and did the kind of stuff I would do (track days, autocross, daily duties) hold more weight.

There is a major misconception that stiff and shitty ride means sporty handling-- that's hardly the case. Lots of body roll isn't great, but you can reduce body roll significantly without making it feel like you have solid linkages instead of shocks-- high quality shocks that are well tuned for rebound/compression working in concert with properly sized anti roll bars will do this.

maybe you can add customizable suspension with different settings for track and road on the RS or will it cost too much???

yes. as low as possible with the option to let the system pump it higher to a driving height or park house height.

im not talking about those tacky lambo doors to be clear. i mean the classic koenigsegg door. they dont go up. they just rotate 90 degrees and slide open to the front. and sadly its so complex a system that theres next to no conversion kits or anything like that so probably not doable. but as long as were talking dream car...

well i thought the whole 4 motors one per wheel would give you best results. also i thought since you wouldnt have a classical engine in there you yould fill up that long nose of the z4 with batteries.

The WRX STI would be the perfect daily driver in my opinion, not as practical as a hatchback but I don't want it to be. And that bad boy will master any road condition, no sweat.

I'd pick it blindly, rally enthusiasm speaking up.

When talking about "squad" and "midnight rider goals" I'd take the BRZ any day with a Rocketbunny kit on it. RocketBunny starts to sound cheesy but it really is a statement and as much non car guys as you meet, you will make every single one remember the experience. Midnight driving might be some fast driving on the Autobahn (in my case) but most of the time it's cruising through the city and just showing off if you ask me. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. IMO dougiefresh_86 on Instagram has the perfect BRZ.

At the end of the day it's still just a dream, I don't even have a drivers license and wont have one for a while so I can finance myself an apartament.
