How is this different from what they currently provide? Just all the required parts in one pack?

I always preferred the idea of people having to research what they need. Then they have a full understanding of what they're getting into, and there's a lesser chance of "noob error."

This would be you but the A240 kit + the 240 Expansion so you can install 2 RAD's to fill out the case. and due to it being a pack you don't need to worry about finding fans, or fittings.

I apreciate EK´s effort in making watercooling your pc components more affordable.

I fear that some people will try to combine these aluminium parts with copper parts.

That is why they provide many warning labels and have the aluminium stuff on a separate site to help keep people from doing that.

That is the problem.

Most people ignore warning labels.

That is their problem, it is not EK job to baby sit the world. They mention about not mixing in their videos. every part has a warning label that must be removed.

I really appreciate that they are doing this.

Second hand though. Someone could sell it as a copper rad unless they are marked somewhere

It's an aluminum expansion for the Aluminium kit, this is noob error protection at its finest.

They do, they also make them differently (physically) so there is a clear visual marker.

If they don't have picture that shows that clearly or they are plugged that's no use.

Lol, take a look.  The normal copper ones have a distinct square design and the Aluminium ones are a more mainstream rounded design.

You'll know soon enough by weight.

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example. What do you guys think about these packs?

I am curious about them, as I am definitely not skilled enough to make my own custom loop.

When I eventually upgrade to Threadripper, I could see myself wanting to run this along with liquid cooling whatever graphics card I am running at the time together.

I'm gonna get one now for sure!

I didnt buy the 240g yet, because i thought cooling a 7700k and a 1070 with only one 240 rad would not be that effective, but now with an extra 360 (or 240, dk yet) it'll definitely work well!

Was even considering buying an aluminum rad from china to expand the fluid kit 9_9

I think they are a great stepping stone for getting into custom loops.

As for a Threadripper upgrade, as of now we don't know if the fluid gaming line will support it.

I don't think people saying that this is cheating and you don't learn anything about watercooling is justified. Having the fans and right fittings picked out for you is quite easy, and about the equivalent of someone telling you that you need a z270 board for your 7700K.

I think this is a good idea but I really wish they made the fluid gaming series completely incompatible with their regular high end stuff. Perhaps different threads could have been used.

I started out with an Alphacool NexXxos AIO kit in a box but since then have added another 140mm rad and an EK Block for my 1070.

Kits in a box are indeed a great starting point and entry into the world of watercooling.

FYI I had a single 240MM x 45MM rad running my 6700K & 1070 for a while and it did fine, I mean I couldn't OC at all but at stock with boosting enabled it kept my CPUs at around 50°c while heavy gaming and 70°c when doing stress testing. Strangely the GPU temp never went above 45°c even when the CPU was in the 70s.
