about terry crews' PC

if you didn't know jayztwocents was planning and building terry crews' PC for a few months now, and the other day he released the video unveiling the final build to terry crews. 

 

tho i'm wondering: is he gonna live-stream on Twitch? it'll probably quite a nightmare running it (not his pc itself anyways), but it'll be cool to see him play some bf1 or something

I remember watching the BF1 multiplayer reveal stream/event and Terry was so hyped about playing on PC. It was such a great thing to bear witness to.

even tho terry crews didn't build this system himself i think he got the idea of what it's like when he built one for his son so the both of them can play (i think?). plus a celeb playing on pc is pretty good PR

I've seen him stream rocket league ages ago i think he was using his sons pc and it was good quality so i don't know why hes saying his internet sucks.

Downtown L.A. has crap internet? What the fuck is there any fucking place outside Google Fiber cities where you guys get decent internet? Can't believe one of the biggest and most important cities in the world can't get decent internet in the middle of it's fucking downtown area.

 

Oh and the rig itself looks fairly nice, only detail I wasn't a fan of was the deodorant bar on the SLI bridge that should have been put inside the water reservoir instead but just a tiny detail.

Jay came off really whiny on this project the way he kept complaining that Nvidia wouldn't give him two Titan X Pascal Xp after they already gave him two Titan X Pascal. And then when Nvidia did give him the two Titan Xp Jay complained about changing out the gpus. I mean shit man, if Nvidia gave me free gpus to build for a celebrity who would bring my youtube channel a ton of views I'd be bouncing off the walls happy as hell. I usually like Jay's channel, but the complaining that he only had gpus something like 7% weaker than the one that just came out a couple of weeks ago is lame.

Yeah, I like Jay, but he kinda comes off as ungrateful at times. His videos can be entertaining (such as the antifreeze cooled PC haha), but I prefer channels like Paul's Hardware or Linus just because I find them to be much more entertaining, and less whiny.

@SteveGrabowski0 @N1ghtshade I disagree with you both. I think he's just a perfectionist. Especially when building a pc for someone like Terry Crews. Especially because he will get so many new viewers. He wants the best of the best, and that can come off as whiny. But he has his reasons.

If he really wanted the best of the best, why was he pestering Nvidia? Why didn't he just buy the Titans?

They're funny on the same level someone getting hit in the face is funny. It's so dumb you don't know why you're laughing, but you are. And I suppose so. If he's gonna get in the habit of making PC's for former football players, maybe he could make OJ Simpson a killer build

Actually, much of SoCal offers gigabit... So, I doubt he cannot get better internet.

In addition, it also kinda seemed like he was humblebragging quite a bit. i.e. Oh wow, I had to change it at the last minute, had to redo the entire loop, etc.

 

Kinda made it hard to watch tbh.

It's not too bad. Just a bit flashy. If I were doing a red themed build, i'd most likely do matte red, with a bit of black. It'd look a whole lot better imo.

Maybe because of his area he only has business level access and not residential so he might not be willing to drop something like 2 grand for an enterprise gigabit hookup.

 

Totally just assuming based on little here btw.
