Same bullshit in Texas. I was looking for a used PS3 and there was one post with a fat PS3 and 10 games for $450. Not even 10 good games, shit like Madden and Call of Duty games that I can get at Gamestop for $3 each. And then lots of posts where people think they can sell their PS3 Slim for $220. LOL fat chance when I can get that same system at Gamestop for $95 (and $40 for a fat one).

If by fat you're talking about the original, it technically has more value because it's backwards compatable with PS2 games. Definitely not $450, but i bet someone is dumb enough to pay for it....

I sometimes want to email the people selling this shit and tell them off. Then I realize what a waste of time it is. There are some serious ripoffs on craigs list. Too bad you can't comment on ads, but I am sure that system would be abused.

Just the Very first iteration of the 'fat' ps3 will be compatible with ps2 games, you can tell this one apart by 4 usb ports and other media slots if I'm not mistaken. Not that it matters for this post.

But yes, fuck craigslist

Eh, I don't understand why people get so upset about it. It's an open market place, people can ask whatever they feel the specific item is worth. If someone buys it, then it's on them for not researching it and they deserve to be punished for such.

Those are also the ones that die most though, since the backwards compatible PS3 all had 90 nm Cell processors and 90 nm RSX gpus and used a ridiculous amount of power. Man those got so hot. There are also fat PS3 with 65 nm Cell and 90 nm RSX and then fat PS3 with 65 nm Cell and 65 nm RSX. The easiest way to tell them apart is the backwards compatible ones had actual chrome instead of silver paint, had a card reader, and weigh way more than the other fat PS3s.

The other problem is when you make a more realistic offer, the seller usually gets offended or just ignores you. They have every right to do all of that but it's really dumb.

Realistic is sort of open to personal perception though. I sell quite a few items on Craigslist, and the number of people that low ball is disgusting. You also have to factor in local market conditions.

True, but if I'm offering about $100 for your used product that is almost $200 brand new, you shouldn't feel offended.

You should see how much people value their Apple products. A 2008 base model MacBook pro that looks like it has burn marks on the bottom, keypad doesn't work properly, dead battery, and they still want 400 bucks for it.

Depends what it is, it's condition, and what the market values it at. I've sold lots of things pretty close to their retail price.

Just calm down, why are you getting upset over what other people do? That's a horrible way to live your life if your happiness is based on how complete strangers live theirs. My advice is to log off and relax with a book or a movie or whatever you need to do so that your life is no longer being severely impacted by words online.
