What's your favorite OS, guys? 

I personally love XP Media Center Edition. Just got a copy as a late christmas gift that I'll use for re-creating my childhood PC.

Eric S. Raymond used an E6600 from 2005 until 12/30/14 or open source software creation. Raw data computations in excess of 18GB each. Core 2 Duos still have tons of life left, my friend.

MacOS 10.10 for user experience, ease of use, and simplicity.

Nevertheless, I use Linux for some of my coding and Windows 8 for gaming.

Planning on trying StarCitizen (Highly recommended)? STAR-NR5P-CJFR is my referal link

Huh, funny one; I use a few different ones, I'll list favourite for purpose:

 

Gaming: Windows 8.1 w/ start8

 

GNU+Linux distro(Desktop): Debian

 

Server: centOS 6.5

Even though its a pain in the butt to setup and not my daily driver, Arch Linux because it is a really fun operating system!

Friend gave me an unopened box copy and key that his father never used. Late christmas gift. ^3^

Though I haven't used it in awhile my favorite two are OS X and Ubuntu.

I don't mind Windows but meh I find that OS X and Ubuntu provide a much better overall experience than Windows even though Windows is a little more Standard.

What is your favorite OS of all time, and why? Personally I love windows 8.1 with classic shell, but windows 10 is also decent. I just think that windows 8 is the easiest to navigate, though that may be partially because I used it for the past few years.

I'm most impressed with 8.1's impact on performance honestly - XP was rough (locked away half a gig of RAM), 7 was better but still not the best and 10 seems to be all over the place atm.

Each has their pros and cons. I'd have to go with 8.1. While it was difficult to navigate at times, I never had any issues with it. 

 

I like 10 aesthetically, however I have some issues with it that makes it feel less of an upgrade from 8.1

Windows 7, Until I get more use to Windows 10 it'll change

I also really enjoyed OSX (just OSX nothing special)

Windows 10 is my favorite. It's not perfect but I enjoy the new features and see a lot of potential.
