That clip is TV or cinema advertising grade, in script and quality. Anybody who doesn't know LinusTechTips would never get the impression, that they usually do videos on YouTube, but professional grade commercials. Keep that up and you sponsors will be lining up to get a clip like this one. ~;-D

I was bit surprised how much better acting was compared to what it has been in the past. No overacting from Linus (well much less than usual) and Yvonne looked almost natural. It looked like her reaction at the end tent scene was almost true.

Well my assumption was that it is, because Linus himself made a joke about it. Something about his marriage being Yellow and White mixed, think it was an Intel suprise, dirt, clean products vid. But it was a joke in reference to a cake. So maybe a diff vid. Then Intel copied Linus' sandals in icing. Anyway,

I did not get his joke at first. But when I watched the video I clued in, that maybe that is his wife.

So anyone up for a LTT shorts channel? You will probably need to hire 8 more people but having you guys turn into a multi content creation channel like Rooster Teeth appeals to more then hardcore techies. As a sidenote, it's kind of getting on my nerves that most of these videos have some kind of a giveaway where just ONE phone or something is given away. For the advertising budgets these companies have, the $100-$200 that the phone cost to make, it's almost embarrassing for them.  They could give 3-5 of them, it's basically nothing for them.

 

It's like you're trying to bribe viewers to not dislike the video, or to forget you basically watched a 5 minute ad. 

 

They are paying Linus a lot for this type of video. The giveaway was something nice.

The quality of the video was superb, Brandon really outplayed himself.

I think the acting was fine, especially surprised at Linus. It wasn't Oscar material, but it was better than I expected. :P Thumbs up to Roy as well, he did great job.

Naturally, Linus falling in the lake was the best part of the video.

And the last, huge thumbs up to Yvonne for doing all that while being pregnant. She's the real hero here. :P

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

Wasn't a huge fan of the video. Not gonna lie. I disliked it.

There's something that still tastes funny to me regarding "Linus Tech Tips Creative Shorts". All other LTT Channels have a clear purpose: Either computer & technology reviews (LTT), explanations (TechQuickie) or fun (Channel Super Fun).

 

But what purpose do these shorts have? I assume they're some kind of advertisements for new and cool products? If so, that leads me to the next question: Will LTT always have products in their shorts (umm, weird wording there... ^_^;) that are also endorsed by them? Will they be reviewed on channel LinusTechTips as well?
