Nope. If you complain about anything on their forum Lord Kunos will descend upon you, insult you, and ban you. Wish I was joking. The main menu for AC is terrible too, and a bunch of people asked for the console menu to be ported over.

4 hours ago, brownninja97 said:

nope the FMOD alone. FMOD is massively powerful more so then steam or radeonray so far but its expensive, just that the original AC didnt utilise it to its full potential for whatever reason(probably time issues). Luckily I have a bit of insight in fmod as the sound engineering students at my uni use it likely because its very popular and powerful but the documentation and support is outstanding comparable with unreal and unity as it has been used in literally thousands of games.

I think they just unsurprisingly didn't know how to use it. Fonsecker got into arguments with them all the time because he'd say how incompetent they were with the audio implementation, which frankly was true.

Has UE4 released it's updated audio engine yet? They were working on actual binaural and 7.1 support but it's been a long time since they demoed it.

Short video of the machine. I should've test it on F1 track but nah.. green hell 4 lyfe. Where's my downforce?

I liked it for the variety but yeah you could definitely see specific sections that were being reused. FWIW Dirt Rally 2.0 is still limited to 6 locations, same as the first game.

Looks like they're planning a decent roadmap post launch though.

The physics are a pretty decent overhaul too. :D

I'm also told we'll finally have independent settings for all the post-processing effects cuz that blur and lend lens flare is crazy.

It's been a huge clusterfuck in our little happy place on the official forum. At best 4% of their potential audience has VR. Also kind of surprised how long it's taking them to make the game.

Kinda sad to hear the sounds have gone downhill in the Forza franchise. I remember Forza 1 or 2, was one of the only racing games to actually replicate the sound of VTEC crossover in the Honda Civic engines.

They've done VTEC for FH4

HOW FUN IS THIS TRACK

Its been a solid year since I drove the Misano mod but man its so much fun hopping the curbs. Hard for a big girl like the Bentley, and the sound files keep making me think its the huracan so I was probably carrying way too much speed. Brake feel is way too vague on the gamepad which is a definite limit on a hot lap. Will probably revisit on the weekend on the G27.

Also totally borked the inlap but there are pit stops implemented now. No animations as of yet but the stop sequence for changing tires is all there.

Also some of these camera angles are right on par with gran turismo.

IIRC only the qualifying race is at night (something like 10pm local) but the actual sprint race is mid-day. But daylight races are boring!

Ya bell recently finished the fiber install in my area, a full year after it was done in my friends neighbourhood a few minutes away. Ridiculous how much I was paying Robbers over the past few months waiting out this promo. 300/300 unlimited FTTH, basic iptv package, fully loaded home phone for $90/mo. Market rate for this package is ~230 lmao

Sounds havent necessarily got better or worse, everyone else has gotten drastically better(aside from SMS which is distorted mess). Forza gets a lot of flak sharing sounds, C63 is a good example as the 6.3 and 4.0 engines sound the same as the sound banks are identical. Unique sounds is a hard one for every racing game, especially since you cant get live recordings for every car. The other thing is unnecessary noise which is not present on a car which gtsport and raceroom are guilty off. Easy example is GT sport if you go off throttle in any GT3 car it will snap, crackle and pop which is true for a lot of them but not every GT car, some just dont sound good especially in the case of the LMP cars which are pretty well behaved off throttle.

I understand its hard to make all sounds unique however they need to make sure there arent any complete copies, raceroom shares its turbo "wooshing" from the group 5 to 80sDTM cars however the engine notes are different, its ok to share but like your friends homework you need to change something else it appears to be lazy. Every niche to large team has managed to do this so Turn10 need to do it as well. The bar has been raised so they need to match it else it will be regarded as a flaw.
