Nintendo president has sadly passed away ;(

old school programmers makes the recent generation look like monkeys, the only reason i could wish to be born like 15 years ago is to go through the pain of programing assembly and actually be worthwhile, RIP this BAMF one of the few to shape what gaming is today

you can always still learn assembly. My friend who is my age wrote his own operating system from scratch.

Don't know why things are different that you can't learn it.

Then at a minimum bring back the ability for me to play my portable games on the TV. Anyone remember this?

Unfortunately, Game Freak doesn't see the point now that Pokemon games are 3D. :/ The best you can hope for is that NX is both a handheld and a console.

Guys, Pokeymans has lost its god! T_T it's not fair why did this have to happen?

Nintendo needs to start porting games, like, now.

Very sad, especially considering how relatively young he was. Hopefully this does not negatively affect the company too much.

That's terrible.

I wonder though, will nintendo be sued by investors for not releasing information regarding his health sooner?

Dick thing of me to say, I'm sure he was a fine man, and has the respect of many, many people; but. Kind of glad to see this, Nintendo has been dying, and perhaps some new blood will get them back into a positive light. Their last console was a complete failure, their policy towards youtube is rigid, and ruthless, causing many many people to just ignore them all together. And their community management is lackluster at best. A lot need to happen, and sadly enough, it might be spurred on by a new man at the reigns.

This saddens me greatly. I wish people would understand that Nintendo critics (which I am known to be) are oftentimes the biggest supporters. I want them to do good. I have a bone to pick with Nintendo in general for how they've been going about recently, but I deeply respect these old generation programmers that helped shaped what a "game" means and what "quality control" means. EA and Ubisoft could learn a few things from Nintendo. But recently Nintendo has been set on making their business differentiated from others, which in itself is good, but their complete success has isolated them from the market. No competition means no progress. That said, Nintendo makes top line games and their older hardware, even the successful ones that do get praise, deserve more praise than they're given. I had a gamecube and gameboy growing up, and the gamecube got sold for a wii and I used the gameboy until the paint had been scratched off in every spot until it was just white plastic. Even then it kept working for 2 more years until it started failing to boot. Nintendo has always been a gaming giant and will continue to do so, but in their isolation they hurt not only themselves but gaming as a whole. As sad as iwata's death is, it can only open up new doors for Nintendo. Cherish the past, and strive for a better future.

I am conducting some polls regarding your opinion of large technology companies. I would appreciate your response.
