I encountered this before, the computer wouldn't even POST with the keyboard plugged in. The moment I swapped another keyboard in, worked fine.

 

What confused me even more was that I swapped the supposedly "faulty" keyboard to another computer, restarted it, it worked absolutely fine.

I have a bland one.  I've had someone ask me for help when their flash drive would not work on their mac and it was formatted to NTFS.

I work at a hospital in the operating theatres.

 

We use an old MS Access database that was made in 2005 to access our surgeon's preference cards (what to give them for a surgery).

 

The database is stored on a central drive on a server and is accessed by a shortcut on the desktop of each workstation that needs access to it.

One day, the database became corrupted, so we contacted IT (we are not allowed to fix ourselves) who said "The database became corrupted because of the desktop shortcut". Note, this is the same shortcut used for years.

 

They did not have a backup, the person who had admin rights to it has been dead for 5 years and all the hard copies of the cards hadn't been updated for 3 years.

 

This is a government IT service....

lmao there's been multiple times were some kids have yanked the aed cabinet doors open and set off loud alarms

One thing I see kind of often is people who have really expensive phones but aren't careful with them and drop them often. I've actually heard people say, "Oh, if it breaks then I'll just get a new one." when talking about new iPhones like $500+ is no big deal to them. Meanwhile, I'm probably more careful with the phone I got for $50...

I don't even know how people crack their screens that easily, I've only ever cracked the tempered glass screen protector.

Do these people just drop their phone then stomp on it several more times?

I can't count how many times I'm called from the shop repairing a vehicle into the office because 'my computer is frozen' when she's just got something resting on the keyboard like a binder or the big calculator next to her keyboard.

A couple weeks ago my friend bought an RTX 2070 and installed it. Immediately he called me up and complained about the card overheating and throttling. I went through the usual troubleshooting steps to no avail. So I went to his place to have a look at it myself.

 

Turns out the guy forgot to take off the plastic that covered one of the fans, and it had been preventing the fan from spinning.

 

I still troll him about that one.

It's a waste of resources for something that the vast majority of people might see once a year at most. I'd rather see that go to making better graphics cards.

Yes, I’m sure a multi billion dollar company company can’t afford to waste resources on improving the graphical interface for some of their software

It works, and it works well. It's rarely seen by users. There is no point in throwing money away.
