What fans are those?

They look like scythe's or yate loon's to me.

whoa, that's pretty sweet! how much noise do all those fans produce?

 

 

A lot at full speed obviously since they're 2200 RPM, but they go down to 3 volts on my fan controller which is around ~800 RPM, they don't make any noise then unless you put your ear right next to em.

 

(Nice because my head isn't to far from the radiator when I'm asleep)

Here's my latest purchase.

 

 

I have to buy some fan extensions now, I really thought the wires on the fans would be longer so I could properly manage them :(

 

 

Phobya 1080mm radiator :D

 

It keeps my 980 ~8-10 degrees celsius above my ambient temperature, and my 4790k @ 1.32v 4.7 ghz at 60c in cinebench R15

 

 

How the hell can that car computer radiator keep a 4790K that hot?

Meant to say 4770k, I've owned both CPU so I made a typo.

 

And yes, it keeps a 980 cooler because the block is massive and the GPU die is much much bigger.   It's much easier to dissipate heat from bigger objects.  This is part of why AMD cpu's run cooler, and older intel chips do as well.  Because the concentration of heat is a bit bigger.

 

He has a 4770K tho.

"Cooler" is a relative term here. :P Prescott is like the early '00s version of the 9590.

What do you use it for? I mean, it's next to a PC, you won't need it for web browsing or else, unless you quickly want to look something up when your PC is off. Or do you have some remote desktop / screencast thing going on?

i use it to watch cable tv when im at my pc. It also controls my a/c, home theatre system, home alarm system, and can be used as an external display from my PC. Also controls all the speakers throughout my house.
