Are those Nanoxia extensions? I knew they had them but have never seen them. How are they?

Those are Nanoxia extensions indeed.  I absolutely swear by them, been using them in my own PC for a year or two now.  Good connectors, no play, no individual contacts that come loose or anything, the sleeves are the exact same length and the ends are done perfectly.  You get all the slick looks of a custom sleeved PC with none of the hassle.

In fact if you use a full tower, you may actually NEED extension cables because most still aren't long enough for proper routing for the 24pin or even getting anywhere near the 4-pin or 4+4-pin at the top for the CPU.

Unlike a lot of Molex extension cables where you need to wiggle each pin when you plug them in, these plug in perfectly each time.

They are pricey, but then again not.  I pay 12 EUR each for the 24pin ones and 10 EUR for the others.  I could do custom sleeving etc, but I'd still need to get sleeving and heatshrink and spend lots of time to do it properly.  Especially when you factor in the time, it becomes a really good alternative compared to doing it yourself.

My only complaints would be :

1 ) Some cables may require a bit of straightening when you take them out of the bag because the bend or kink in the middle has a tendency to remain visible.  You need to bend each individual cable the other way a bit to straighten it out.

However that's something you'll encounter with every brand and type of cable unless it's packaged straight and in a cardboard box.

2 ) The PCIe cables really should be 5cm longer.  if you have a GFX card that has the connectors facing the window and you want the cables to make a nice curve, the connectors to the PSU's cables will be really close to the grommets.   On my own PC (pics in my sig) I have about 4cm of cable length left, which means I need to fold them hard in order to connect them to the PSU cables without having the connection interfere with my tray-side side panel.

Picked up a Startech PDU for my Cisco lab. I'd been using a regular ol' Belkin power strip, but I want to get used to writing with rackmount equipment, and I'm a sucker for black. Mounted at the top for the picture. Going to mount it at the bottom, I just don't feel like rearranging my whole rack at the moment. post-241451-0-78027800-1439348385_thumb.

Also, since I'm starting a new gig with an IT company in two weeks, I figured it was prudent to invest in some tools post-241451-0-90704800-1439348916_thumb.

Wut bike?

Trek Domane 2.0

had it for 2 years now, i'm no bike expert but I've put a few thousand miles on it and I enjoy it.

You can tell its a less aggressive road bike because the handle bars are pretty raised to make it more comfortable over long distances.

Got confirmation from my apartment gremlin that my "small" shipment of parts and consumables just arrived :3

~3k assorted screws, nuts, washers

x2 100-pack of silicone retention clips

x12 assorted plastic organizer boxes

Gordak 936A

Gordak 850-A

A THOUSAND ZIPTIES (not even joking. shipping manifest counts 10 100-piece bags)

20-piece dremel head kit

25-piece brush set (I use them to clean dust from electronics)

x5 5-piece solder tips

2kg of solder

300g of flux

x4 5m SMD rolls (red, white, blue, RGB)

Wasabi Kit-Kat (Friends in Japan say it's disgusting and I should use it to prank my coworkers)

50 sticks of hotglue

hotglue gun

an assortment of fans, from 20mm to 180mm

Everything was free from some friends in Japan. Only had to pay for shipping (which was about $50, since the package is heavy AF). Afaik all of the above cost somewhere around $300 (give or take)

I must have got lucky, it's the only crank-set I've ever had so I wouldn't know any better. The shifting can be kind of jarring sometimes when i'm out of the saddle but I chalk that up to my inexperience mostly. It's also been about 2k miles so i'm prob do new cables.

What do you mean - "made"? Did you have it custom made, directly painted on the wall or simply bought it here? "Germany" is kind of in my area...  :P
