I agree with EVERYTHING on your list.. except for HP

I had 2 HP laptops, both broke within 1-2 years, and the cooling system was awful, I could've cooked an egg on them, useful during winter though

I've only used Asus MOBOs for as long as I've been building system.  Trailed and trusted.  Granted, my building experience hasn't been as extensive as many other users here.

I'm really trying but I seriously can't think of any brand which would completely match my price/performance expectations with every product so I always rate every single product on its own merits.

ASRock. Boards have been great in my system and systems built for family and friends. I usually only have two requirements when I go to build a system - an Intel CPU and an ASRock mobo.

A faulty DVI cable in the onboard graphics killed my asrock z77 extreme4. The same cable only caused the graphics cards to shut off. I was wondering if the cards were acting up. apparently not.

For components I'll go with Asus. Very reliable and good quality. For peripherals I'll go with Kingston and Qpad. Quality of their products amazingly good.

Hate all you want but for me it would have to be Apple. When I had a problem with my iPhone, they helped me and get everything fixed with in 30 minutes (and because they are in Cali, you can understand what in the world they are saying)

Apple, although many don't like them and think their overpriced few can argue that their products aren't well built.

i would say apple also has the best customer support in the tech industry.

I would agree, you may pay a premium for Apple but I think you do get a great experience all round.

MSi and ASRock.  People hate on ASRock a lot but I've used their motherboards for 3 going on 4 builds and the quality as well as the features are great, the software that comes with my motherboard is great, and the bios is simple and accessible.

MSi has always made fantastic GPU coolers and held my hand through 2 270x's with terrible coil whine without any issues.  Plus their afterburner software is basically a standard for all GPU overclockers.
