Friends & I were sharing metal bands over Discord a few weeks ago - Can't believe I hadn't yet heard of Lacuna Coil prior to them sharing with me. This song reminds me of Evanescence crossed with purposeful slowness of anything Maynard James Keenan works on, albeit more metal than his stuff, at least to me.

@Crunchy Dragon you might like this

Apparently, I listened to Handlebars by these guys back in 2015 but don't remember these guys at all. Great share, as they remind me of a mixture of Linkin Park, Rage Against the Machine, Public Enemy, and Tool, with the lyrical prowess of bands like The Fray or certain Offspring songs. Absolutely loving the violin in this song, as I think it adds a very unique touch, much like it does in Yellowcard's albums.

If I didn't already thrive off trashy #soundclown mixes over on SoundCloud, I'd be replying with nope.jpg to this song/video. However, this mix is hands-down one of the better conglomerates of complete trashy garbage I've ever listened to, so thank you for sharing.

Oh yes Mr. Moustache man, play that keyboard harder. LOL. Friends shared this in another Discord months ago and couldn't get over how jolly Oleg Parastaev looks when hammering away on the keyboard. Then again, I honestly think it was his ridiculously funny hat & glasses coupled with his moustache that did it. :)

Mmmhm mhm good. So good. Anything by any of the Newman's automatically gets a pass in my books, and Eric Clapton's live album titled One More Car, One More Rider has one of the best renditions of Layla on it that I've ever heard. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_More_Car,_One_More_Rider

Ever since Fun. was disbanded I've been looking for a replacement band with the same level of high-low energy and lyrical goodness. Matt Healy in The 1975 come close, but many of their songs don't match what Fun. used to offer, while Bleachers seems to match or exceed Fun.'s style. (Probably because Jack Antonoff was originally part of Fun. back when they were still alive and kickin'.)

Hello Elize of Amaranthe and Floor of Nightwish (among many, many other appearances) - I've been expecting you! ❤️ Seriously speaking, both of these singers have such operative talent that they deserve all the recognition they get, as does Stratovarius from way back in the mid-1990's days of melodic power metal.

I like Tool, but just the one band is not enough so I gotta delve into other bands with Maynard James Keenan in them

It's MJK, not JMK, but otherwise I absolutely agree - something about the projects he's in always hits home for me. Could be their down to earth lyrics that tell a story about the world we live in despite sometimes making no sense at all. Either way, Tool, APC, and Puscifier are all great bands.

And now for the main course - a tasty soundbite of a band from Copenhagen: South Haven! Consisting of dual vocalists + 4 additional members & backed by Volbeat & Amaranthe's producers (among others), this new metal sounds promising.

The lyrics are definitely impressive (as well as relatable), and the whole musical ensemble befittingly comes together in every single song, IMHO. It's one of the first albums in a very long while where I listened to every song on it, and felt they were all exceptional/enjoyable. I have been able to listen to the album on repeat (both the Unplugged and regular variants), for nearly a month now, and all the songs still sound as fantastic as when I first heard them!
