Why is the forum so slow and causing so many bugs since last few days?

Rohith_Kumar_Sp

Can't upload images even if the image is like less than 100kb, forum is loading slow, pressing update status doesn't even bring the text editor etc

I would suggest starting out rebooting everything you need to connect to the internet. (Like router and modem, and ofcourse the computer).

Ps. i just tried uploading a picture and it worked as expected. So it might not be the forum itself, just your connection to it.

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!
I'm just helping YOU to help YOURSELF!
(The more info you give the easier it is for others to help you out!)

Not willing to capitulate to the ignorance of the masses!

That was current info - not past. Have a look on the site and you can see the issue-tracker below that shows problems in San-Jose yesterday, for example.

Your videos don't exist according to imgur.

A chrome http2 protocol error indicates that there is either a chrome issue or a cloudflare issue, so there's nothing we can do to address it (I can't even turn off h2). If you're getting that error frequently, that is also likely to be the cause of the other issues, and you can check that by looking in the console tab of the dev tools for any errors.

There have been no changes to the forum for a long time.

Evidently you can upload images, for the images that fail is there any trend in the type of image and do they work if you try again?

That looks more like an issue with your connection to me (in the second video you can see the browser says the upload is stuck at 0%), but regardless of whether it's you or cloudflare it's not something I can do anything about.

Different browser? Using a VPN? Browser extension(s) blocking or breaking something? Is there a chance your ISP is blocking something? Is your A/V software or firewall blocking something? Dumb questions, I know, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

as i said it only happens to LTT forums, everything has been working and even on LTT flipflops, i haven't restarted my PC and it works fine now, but sometimes its slow as hell, so i doubt its either ISP/AV software blocking etc would have agreed if it happened simultaneously with other sites

Unless my other questions were answered before, you didn't answer them. It could be possible that something is/was blocking an IP address specific to the LTT forums. But what about disabling all browser extensions? What about trying a whole new browser? Or even a different device on the same network?

i tried it with incognito, didn't make much of a difference, tried to open the web on phone chrome, same result. it's working fine now though.

Alright. That's good to know. But what about a whole different browser? Try Firefox next time the issue comes up.
