LTT was basically my primary education in electronics throughout my life. I used to just sit on the LTT forum in class all day and answer questions lmao

I think the real heros are people like @Lays @MageTank They personally spent a shit load of time teaching me hyper specifics of overclocking. To think I was just a teenager at the time and these people were dedicating hours to provide screenshots, replies, and just rich knowledge you only get from doing the shit yourself is absolutely invaluable and is a great show as of what a forum provides to a community.

Thank you LTT for keeping the forum up all these years and thanks to the core members who still help others day after day for nothing other than shared passions.

BuckGup got a reaction from Fasterthannothing in Apple’s xrOS headset to be powered by fanny pack battery and to run existing iOS apps in 2D windowed mode
This is it, this headset is going to usher in the new age of social norms accepting people having headsets on in public. I also expect it to be $1999+ with the specs it has and I'm also really excited to see Apples implementation of mixed reality. The article says it even tracks the users legs?? So I am guessing inside out tracking for hand movements/gestures but it's actually usable this time. I would imagine Samsungs headset will leak any day now as well

I'm pretty sure the emergency call button is on the lock screen? You can also spam the power button to call the police. My friend called the police 5 times in the same day from his android because he was biking

I mostly hear a mech keyboard in the back. You don't want to hear clicking in a pattern or any grinding noises. Everything in that audio clip sounded normal as they do make some noise as they are physically moving and fast af too. You could check the health in software to see if it's throwing errors as that's a good indicator the drive is on the way out

Yeah you need to undervolt it. Try XTU or Throttlestop. You are hitting 91C and max package wattage so it's throttling down. I had a matebook pro x with the same CPU and I repasted, reapplying thermal pads, and undervolted and it stopped behaving sporadically.

BuckGup got a reaction from Alinz in Where are the used GPUs?
Crazy concept but GPUs can be used for things outside of gaming and mining. Also there are still many algorithms that support GPU mining, while not as lucrative, with some decent prep work you can still make money.

BuckGup got a reaction from Origami Cactus in Double your FPS for FREE!*** - Nvidia DLSS 3.0
Yeah I don't know about this video. Other users have highlighted great points and the title is incredibly misleading if not just a lie. Putting asterisks on a word doesn't just mean you can mislead people. The larger LTT gets the worse they look using clickbait and having misleading videos

BuckGup got a reaction from Senzelian in Thoughts on Fing?
I starting using fing awhile ago when I was trying to find IPs of IoT devices on my network. Worked very well and later updates started reading device info which was super helpful. So instead of listing IPs it had the IP with a description like AppleTV, VizioSmartPlayer, or generic if it couldn't tell. I've personally never used the paid options and don't plan to as what I am looking for doesn't require anything of that nature. But yes they are a decent app I would recommend to people

It's the Nvidia geforce drivers. This started a couple months after the GTX980ti came out and the Nvidia forum was filled with people reporting the issue. I've found using Quadros like the RTX8000 won't display the same issues. So there is something inside the geforce game drivers that is causing the issue or some hardware difference in quadros makes it non apparent. ECC turned on and off has no affect

BuckGup got a reaction from Just that Mario in We paid $45,000. They Ghosted Us.
It is clickbait. LTT consciously chooses the titles and thumbnails for their videos so they get more clicks. So the purposeful choice of putting $45,000 in the title, instead of an actual description to what the video is even about, is baiting. Clickbait doesn't have to be downright deception or lying. It just makes you look like the tabloid magazines in checkout lines or TMZ.

LTT uses clickbait to gain more revenue so LTT can grow and benefit the watchers. But now it's counterproductive as it's driving away core audience members and the videos become solely supported by the use of clickbait and the content knowingly featured to get more views. So now your revenue and choices mainly revolves around Youtube's algorithm. LTT is diversified though and has many revenue streams outside of Youtube like merch and floatplane so I don't see why they have such a hyper fixation on money.

BuckGup got a reaction from StDragon in Will we ever see truly sentient AI?
We don't understand our own brain so it's a dumb idea to try and predict this. The way AI has been going it's essentially a clone of the human brain slowly piece by piece which in turn also helps us understand more about ourselves. How do you know this comment wasn't written by an AI? You have no way to verify but you assume it's a human

BuckGup got a reaction from AlTech in Instead of dropping 4K from Ad supported tier they jack up the prices for Premium
That's the inverse. Large companies get breaks while independent Youtubers get shafted. I made a video once showing how Youtube allows pornographic thumbnails and I got instantly banned forever without reason. Even though all the content was from Youtube that was posted sometimes a decade or more ago. Youtube is run by idiots
