Check this out... Seems a panic button feature was recently added... There has to be some way to disable it. I had an A71 and now have an S21+ Ultra and neither ever did this. You might have enabled something you didn't mean to.

Got a clue as to why my Galaxy randomly did an air-raid siren thing and started calling the cops?

That uh... may get expensive real fast if this goes on... Well they havent called me back yet so I guess I'll wait and see if they show up lol. But PLEASE if you know... can't have this going on...

Sounds like a malware / Trojan horse app.

I'm pretty sure the emergency call button is on the lock screen? You can also spam the power button to call the police. My friend called the police 5 times in the same day from his android because he was biking

Bixby might be configurable to do it, as BG suggested, but I highly doubt it would do an air raid siren. Unless you're somehow activating some sort of SOS / panic feature. Is the phone linked to your car, perhaps maybe bumping the SOS button on your keyfob?

Check this out... Seems a panic button feature was recently added... There has to be some way to disable it. I had an A71 and now have an S21+ Ultra and neither ever did this. You might have enabled something you didn't mean to.

There was something saying something about SOS as the siren went off. My cars are both old so I highly doubt that. Keyfobs have no panic buttons, the bimmer have some panic thing but afaik all that does is closing the doors and setting off the car alarm and flashes all the lights.

 

Still no cops... 😃

None of my droids ever done anything like this lol. There was a SOS thing I could disable in the settings. Hopefully that did the trick.

That's funny, my seven-year-old Toyota has a panic button. I'm just wondering with all this linking of phones and such if the car stereo can command the phone to call police if the key fob's SOS button is pressed. Maybe for a carjacking situation or something? *shrugs*

Yeah I dunno, maybe. Probably. Bit scary it set to paranoid mode by default though without even asking.

 

My Merc locks the doors though so aint gonna be no car jacking on that car, is pretty funny when the GF is driving and ATTEMPTS to pick me up, me trying to signal to her she needs to push the correct button on the center console and she panicing. 😅

Starting to get the hang of it though.👍😑
