The LTT forum isn't about showing off and bragging. Most people on here save up months, even years to build systems.
You're not impressing us, so please take that sort of thing elsewhere.
I'm not trying to rain on your parade and make you feel bad, I'm just giving you some advice. You've completely wasted your money on unnecessary crap.
Sure, everyone loves to get a nice gaming computer and a nice monitor, but you've really not spent your money wisely. There's no need for so many consoles.
It's great that you have $10k to spend on a gaming setup but you need to learn how to spend money.

Just watched a video from over a year ago talking about how you will always stay loyal to your fans and do your best to take care of them. Stay the same Linus. 10/10.

The ATH M50x aren't that great, honestly you can get better headphones. The sennheiser HD 598, or 599. Are ages better, even for monitoring. The m50x/m50 are sightly v shaped. The highs and treble are sightly harsh when overdriven.

Consider something like /r/hardwareswap as well. 1080ti's range from ~$520-650 over there depending on the model.

Reputable sellers, or looking for something that's not too good to be true. Know what you're looking at before you commit to the purchase, model numbers can greatly help, as often times board partners will have multiple SKU's that vary slightly.
There's a certain level of risk involved, you don't know what you're getting until you have it. Paypal provides buyer protection against this if you use goods and services.

I just picked up an FTW3 Hybrid this morning, and will be listing my SC2 eventually, all over on hardwareswap.

i think i solved the problem, and i still have no idea what the problem was. I unplugged and re-plugged the usb dongle into the same usb slot (for the 3rd time) and now it sounds much better, without the crackling sound... huh

I can imagine the studio would be somewhat chilly there now, seeing as Vancouver is near freezing temps (about 4 C now), plus heating such a big studio seems like it would be difficult. Especially the warehouse.
Plus there are people that just always wear long sleeved shirts, no matter what.. So maybe Linus is one of those people

Also, holy heck.. That is some pretty RAM. It does fit together with that gold keycap set from a couple years ago.
And more videos with Ivan! Yay!

My old thread outlined my build specs and process after my big CPU win:

And now I'm back with the complete build! Final form achieved, now on to a nice monitor.

I've finally acquired my Titan Xp Star Wars Jedi order card. You'd think it was the Christmas money booster shot, but nope, I've got a friend with loose pockets that needed babysitting. I saw how much money I'd saved and knew this was my opportunity.

Do you know how hard it is to find PC parts with only green? You probably don't, because you're probably not as much of a passive Razer fanboy as I am. Love the asthetic, so I made my PC around it. Thing is, I'm also bargain driven. I bought a GTX 970 100 million edition from MSI to forward my pursuits, which is the last good graphics card with just green on it that I can find. After that, I had a bad stint with a 1060 xlr8 (briefly) and then had my 1070 SC, neither of which matched my color scheme. I owned them because of the great used prices I got them for. I greatly dislike RGB software, opting for the simplest path and getting trident Z control for my ram and doing my best to isolate that. All of my peripherals are dedicated green, and I've matched the shade pretty well. Razer keyboard, Havit Magic Eagle mouse, RGB Riing fans that stay green, and now my perfect GPU.

The additional accomplishment of this build is that I currently have the best gaming PC of all my friends, until my rich friend gets a 2080 ti, then I have to benchmark against him because he uses a 5960x.

Edit 1: noise is pretty great because there's no longer turbulent air caused by the fans and open side of my case. My thermals might be better too, and edit 2 will contain some thermal results as well as my power draw

Edit 2: my thermals and power draw after a 5 minute aida run. Peak draw was just over 400.

Edit 3: rotated my side panel like a sane person.

That is honestly pretty damn cool lol. I think I will try out the above linked mic arm and if it's not to my liking then I just may have to try this one out

what i ended up doing is taking one of these bois:

removing the lamp and screwing my mic in with a pice of plywood as a bracket. cost me nothing but about 10min of time and it works very well

if you dont want to DIY one and want to buy one i got no clue tho, i did this because everything i found that seemed good was expensive as hell

Ive flagged this for support to take a closer look once they're back at it. The last couple days have been a little slower for obvious reasons, but they are doing their best over there!

$700 is low cost, you've got the most expensive CPU from AMD's consumer platform and a 1440p 144Hz gaming graphics card. Definitely a top tier build fit for an enthusiast.

1.An external audio recorder such as Zhoom h4n
2.A good quality microphone preferably the one that use XLR (make sure you get the right one for your needs) and
3.The knowledge on how to use them
