I don't believe gaming was ever classified as a disorder by WHO, only gaming addiction.

WHO have put together a #PlayApartTogether campaign which encourages self-isolation, social distancing, and of course, gaming. To push this campaign WHO has enlisted the help of the CEO of Activision Blizzard and the CEO of Riot Games

EDIT : To be clear, not to say gaming addiction is not a mental disorder but WHO just gave gaming a bad stigmatization calling it a mental disorder. what they didn't say was it was a cure for most people under depression and so many other benefits such as
Jane McGonigal noted in her TEDTalk that gamers are the best out-of-the-box problem solvers. Why? Because, as she claims, gamers spend roughly 80% of their time failing while playing video games
https://learnworthy.net/how-video-games-help-solve-real-world-problems-faster/
what's my take ? Addiction is a mental disorder. Gamin addiction, alcohol addiction, smoking addiction, crack addiction, porn addiction. The addiction is the problem. Not the gaming.
yes, the title is absolutely clickbait, nevertheless not false. they did assign gaming addiction as mental disorder and they are saying stay home and game, it's a disorder when it suits them.
Edit 2 : why are the paragraphs are formatting this way ? -

Tom's Hardware
Summary:
Intel has started talks for acquiring AMD, despite previous concerns about a PC processor monopoly. Intel points to Samsung, Apple, and ARM as potential competitors in the processor space.
Quotes/Excerpts:
My Thoughts:
I doubt this will happen, while I believe ARM, Apple, and Samsung are well off as chip makers, breaking into the Desktop market will be a significant challenge for all companies. I could see maybe if Intel only buys a specific market of AMD, such as their GPU division, Server Division, or another part of the company, but above all else, I don't think this'll happen because this is an April Fools post.

Your GPU blocks are not properly configured if that's a parallel terminal, which it appears to be. Have your intake tube into the GPUs on the left, and the outflow tube on the right. I am honestly amazed they only hit 70c with that horrible misstep. Intake on the left, outtake on the right, plugs in all other positions.

8uhbbhu8 reacted to LIGISTX in Will a GPU work if i remove 1of the DDR5X chips??
I very much doubt it would work. I can't see how it would, the BIOS and firmware will think there is a chip there, so even if it booted, when it goes to load things into VRAM it'll nope all over you.
What heat-sink required thermal glue?!?!?

8uhbbhu8 got a reaction from soldier_ph in F@H Info and AMA
So last week the F@H team did an AMA on Reddit in regards to everything that's going on with them as well as put out some Twitter posts with other information about what protein simulations actually are and I think it would be great for everyone to see this info.
Also congrats to F@H for reaching over an exaFlop of compute power!! Thats absolutely amazing to see and super awesome that so many are invested in helping!!

Seeing how they're sending out 115k WUs an hour, I launched F@H again because I haven't been getting them today. Been running Rosetta@Home in the meantime. Actually just received a F@H WU in under a minute.

8uhbbhu8 reacted to The1Dickens in Are you Folding@thome? You better hope not!
With the sudden onset of COVID-19, and enthusiasts desire to help using the popular distributed computing platform 'folding@home', some have seen this as a disgusting opportunity possibly on par with the people buying mass supplies of resources and then reselling them with 400%+ markup.
While I tend to think that anyone who would be interested in, or a part of, a distributed computing service is on the more tech-savvy side, I know it would be possible that someone 'heard about it in passing, and didn't know too much about it, but it sounded like a good thing' and see this email and then download the malware. One small giveaway, if your keen eyes noticed in the title, is the way they spell 'folding@thome' instead of 'folding@home'.

Well I've been playing around on my old Compaq and I found something interesting on eBay. A SuperDisk Drive. I had to have one.
But then I ran into a problem. How do I write these disks with my Desktop? Guess I'll have to buy another. And this one new in box! Of course even after I added a PCIe Parallel port I still couldn't get the damn thing to chooch in Windows 10. But if I pass that parallel port through to a VM running Win98 it works a treat! Now I can use my awesome Floppy Disk Drives with Frickin' LASER BEAMS!
My girlfriend thinks I may have come down with Corona. Can't figure out why this is so awesome...

8uhbbhu8 reacted to Kisai in How long do HDD's actually last?
Mechanical Hard drives to not get slower over time. SSD's do. TLC is good for about 3 years if you have your swap file on it, otherwise you can probably make it last longer.
What you're experiencing, at least with mechanical drives is drive fragmentation, that coupled with os bloat. This is why back in the late 90's and early 2000's, "reinstall windows" every year was basically a must-do. Even though you could defragment the drive with something like Symantec disk doctor or any number of other tools that were more aggressive and fragmentation, generally the OS, page file, and some programs with pain-in-the-ass copy protection would not be moved, or break if moved.
