Eurocom made a 28TB storage laptop

Hogosha

https://www.anandtech.com/show/15514/28-tb-of-storage-in-a-laptop-eurocom-has-it

28TB of storage among other insane specs... for a price of course. That storage is spread across 5 drives, though. Raid much?

According to the source it also supports some insane specs besides storage

Quote

"Intel’s eight-core Core i9-9900K CPU, 128 GB of DDR4-2666 RAM, and two NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 graphics processors"

You think it would make it that long? I would not be surprised if the company also offered a generator as an add on.

It certainly looks like it. And for that price I would really hope so.

So can I stay in the same room while using it without hearing protection? Or do I have to wear fireproof gloves instead?

Huh. A laptop for over $20k? Neat.

I'd rather spend that on an unfinanced brand new 2020 model year car, though.

I never said it was a good deal, just that it existed. I also would not argue if one fell into my lap... wait, that thing must weight a ton. Next to my lap.

I just don't see the point of it....would you use it for some kind of compute work? But its a laptop and the formfactor would have all kinds of issues with heat and limiting performance and all that....

What would be the use case for this to exist in a mass-produced form? I could see some kind of show-off device for a convention but to be available to purchase......

Who is this thing for where they wouldn't just be using a workstation/server machine instead at a much reduced price? Imagine leaving this thing in your car and having it stolen. My buddy just got his wallet stolen cause he left it in his car overnight like a dummy.

I would have better insurance on this than my car. There is no real purpose for it other than to show off and I know a few people who would do just that with it.

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example.
