probably should stick with the 1050 is you only have a 400w psu.

everyone will say 400w is plenty for a 1060 but they are usually the ones that also say you can doubleshot nitrous into stock honda civic engines.

You should be able to return under the circumstance that it's a "MANUFACTURING DEFECT", but the thing is that; is it so detrimental to your user experience is another keypoint.... i know most would return dead pixels since it can get distracting on all viewing angles [light or dark, its there]

That being said I have the PG279Q, uses same panel as the other two in comparison they have almost all same specs [IPS, 165Hz, G-SYNC, 1440P Widescreen]... so I will try and speak. Just pick based on asthetics if i were you.
 
I know for one I have a slight backlight bleed on the right top and right bottom corners but I refused to rma because the overall image quality outpaces the slight defect... IE pros outweighed cons. The BLB is an IPS thing in general, but hardly noticable unless you stare at black screens 99% of the time.

I'm using DP cable with my PG279Q 144Hz and works perfectly.
 
Try and use a different DP on your graphics card maybe? And use a DP to DP cable directly.

Yeah it's alright, keep in mind Iiyama TN panels have had quite a few dead pixels on them lately.

And I'm using FX and it doesn't do so well in games

Might as well go ryzen since you'd have to get everything

Here is a crazy idea. Maybe OLED screens are expensive because they are hard to make? I mean, the reason for lack of competition is not because only Samsung is trying to produce OLED screens. They are the only ones managing to make good ones in fairly large quantities. If they were easy to make then I am sure LG, JPI and other panel makers would be all over it already. 

would never buy a gaming laptop in my life ever, can't imagine the amount of overheating in that tiny chassis :'(

I would steer clear of 1070s personally. After the mining hikes here especially the 1080 becomes the better value proposition. Power consumption and things aside it shud get u ultra 1440p at a steady 60 if not even better.

spend the extra 50$ and get a 1080 

i would not go with i5 imo, if you really need intel, go for at least an i7... with ryzen in the cpu game, the i3 n i5 series look abit dated now in contrast afaik.
only 7700/7700k has the edge so far as of today for intel's current offering.

Yes, that one will work also although I like having a little bit of headroom imo. Since operating around the 50-60% mark is most ideal. take 10aud off... is still quite good proposition for value.

Sexual innuendos aside, i dont think the price difference is worth it. a 120mm and 140mm wont perform that much different from eachother, so I'd go with the 120

I had a 5770. Back in the day, that was a really capable card. Nowadays, not that much.. over locking won't really help, tops a few FPS.

The 1080 is a great card, the 6600k would be fine, if you haven't already, I would OC it just to get your moneys worth out of a K sku chip and the single threaded perf is a boon to the 1080.
 
If you were keen a 7700k or waiting for an 8700k would be a fine option for an upgrade.

I assume it's 1440p 144Hz?
 
I'd say get a 1080/1080ti first, so you can enjoy maxing out all the settings and still get good fps.

What helped was clearing the cmos which is what you did when you jumped around with the jumper
