1070 or 1080

So with the miners taking all the graphics cards the prices have risen dramaticly. I am in the market for a GTX 1070 but the prices are 450$ while the 1080 prices have gone down to 500$. Should I dish out the extra 50$ for some future proofing or is there another option?? help please

spend the extra 50$ and get a 1080

Same situation as you before, however I went from initially 1070 to a 1080ti...

 

I'd probably spend 50$ extra on the 1080 imo, you're looking at 80-100+fps on 1440p. if games get more intensive and u do drop to 60-70fps or so... at least you're still in the playable range

The Gtx 1080 is about 25% faster than the 1070. At 450/500 you're paying 11% more. That's a deal. Go with the 1080
