Posted September 4, 2017 Right now I have a gtx 660 and was thinking of getting a gtx 1070 but the prices are still fairly high should I wait until Black Friday/cyber monday to pick one up or get one right now as prices aren't going to be that much different. Wait for black friday. Everything gets SUPER cheap. Also if it doesn't well... It's not that far away just to see if you can save some money. Posted September 4, 2017 If you can wait, wait. Worst comes to worst, prices aren't that different but if they do come down and you buy now, you'll probably be mad at yourself later. But you're right, chances are prices won't come down a CRAZY amount, but wait if you can just in case. Hope this helps!
 If the OP is in the US he can get a 1080 for $90 more than the very cheapest 1070, and more like $50 more than a 1070 that has a decent cooling solution. If youre going to get a 1070 you should save a little more and get a 1080 CPU: I5 4590 Motherboard: ASROCK H97 Pro4 Ram: XPG 16gb v2.0 4x4 kit GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 PSU: EVGA 550w Supernova G2 Storage: 128 gb Sandisk SSD + 525gb Mx300 SSD Cooling: Be Quiet! That's a horrible buy at that price. You'd be much better off buying this 1080 at $520 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125880
 Posted September 4, 2017 I would steer clear of 1070s personally. After the mining hikes here especially the 1080 becomes the better value proposition. Power consumption and things aside it shud get u ultra 1440p at a steady 60 if not even better.
