LMG went from family business to a multi million corporation but kept the family business mentality. Linus fails to see that he is the villain, not the oppressed.

I also like the design of the G710+ a lot. This one is a bit more neutral on design and would fit in a bit nicer in my setup. I still have to try out the Romer G switches though, but I've heard good things about them. I'm still undecided betwenn the K70, G710+ and now this G810...

I've seen those bend videos. The amount of force needed for those results is WAY above average use. These phones are marketed toward the general public and business sector, not construction workers and Alaskan fisherman lol. I doubt that is the reason for this move
For software, I trust Google to make something good but their attempts at hardware have been hit or miss. Huawei made a sexy phone for both the casual and businessperson with the 6p.
The only pro I'd see taking this route is cheaper consumer cost for phones. Unless they completely follow Apple's example and overcharge (which wouldn't be a pro lol)

Oh don't worry, Konami doesn't own Crash. Recently Naughty Dog said they would like to make a reboot as well.

Answer this please. Sums up my thoughts on the matter.
Competition would be two shops each selling a thing and I get to go to both, compare prices and extras or whatever and make a decision to choose one or the other. If only one shop sells the thing that is not competition.

The biggest thing here is security. BB isn't going to risk their position as a secure phone maker (which many businesses and the DoD love) just to garner some more sales and hype.
This just might be the most secure Android phone ever made. BB doesn't care about consumers buying this in bulk so much as giving businesses another option for their employees. Which is great for their bottom line.

I am very happy with my BlackBerry Z30, and MG2R is quite fond of his too. I very much prefer BB 10 to Android.

    I disagree.

Android might be what people know and love, but it's a stagnant OS right now for manufacturers. It is a colossal market which is already fully saturated with phones of every conceivable type - unless you have a brand following or something very unique to bring to the table, it's very difficult to compete. BlackBerry don't have the brand recognition they once had, and their strength lies in their software not hardware. By throwing Android on their device they're playing with their weakest hand. They can't skin the OS too much to implement BB10 features because that would make the adoption of Android completely pointless - most of the Android fanbase appears to dislike the idea of anything other than the stock version anyway.

I truly hope this turns out to be false, as I don't think it is a wise investment of their money and time. They should be focusing on further differentiating themselves in the market, by providing services and features that simply aren't available on other platforms. If they abandon BB10, they're done for.

The only reason I bought premium was because I loved using the service for free, but wanted to have the music for offline purposes.

Offering the music streaming for free is what made them so popular.
